The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) of IIM Bangalore is a masters level programme and the PGP batch of 2020-22 will be awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). Applicants must clear CAT 2019 and get the required percentile to gain admission in IIM Bangalore.

  • Various factors will determine the CAT 2019 Cut off, such as the level of difficulty of the exam, total available seats etc.
  • CAT Counselling 2019 will not be a centralized process. IIMs do not conduct CAT counselling or allot colleges to candidates. Therefore, IIM Bangalore will have an individualized counselling process Check Here

Summer Placement Highlights

Summer placements for the PGP 2018-20 batch were successfully conducted from October 23- 27, 2018. 119 companies participated in the overall process and generated 442 offers for the prospective candidates. Out of those offers, 442 were accepted and 01 candidate opted out of the process. 

  • Consulting recruited the highest number of total candidates with 28% of the students choosing the management consulting sector
  • The roles included commercial banking, product management, leadership, operations, category management, general management, strategy consulting, niche consulting, business analytics, investment banking, capital markets, and corporate finance. 
  • There were significant offers from the e-commerce sector as well as the marketing and sales sector.
  • Admission into IIM Calcutta is done through percentile ranks and scores attained by a candidate in CAT 2019 or through other national exams such as GMAT / GRE / NET. GMAT scores are accepted for NRI students.

Final Placement Highlights

IIM Bangalore completed its PGP 2019 Placements in the beginning of this year. As expected, the placement rounds were successful as the candidates flourished in front of the recruiters. The final placements took place from December and lasted till February and mainly focused on two main recruitment formats: 

  • Entry level full time positions 
  • Lateral positions for candidates with extensive work experience
