  • I think the degree doesn't help in any way. They had a career fair, but it wasn't useful. Securing a job is totally based on one's skills and experience. The more you are skilled and experienced, the better the chances. The percentage was pretty low, to be honest.
  • A Data Scientist with some background experience can get around a starting pay of $80000 on average. But for freshers, they do need very solid experience or projects to stand out from the competition

  • We rented a house as friends outside the campus.

  • That depends highly on the skills you know and the work experience you had back home, the course doesn't add anything to our profile, campus placements won't be there, and all there is to do is to join consultancy and go with the flow.

  • Mutual friends, we were 5 roommates initially, and rent was 550 CAD.

I am not graduated yet, so I can't comment on that. But co-op programs such as supply-chain and hospitality has good reputation in terms of co-op, job placement and internships.

I chose this college because of various factors, and the first and foremost thing is the flexibility to adopt a programme curriculum schedule along with proximity to the airport and all major connections concentrating in Toronto. Overall, it was an amazing experience as it built my confidence which I never had back home to deal with random person at university. On top of that, I got a chance to meet with professors, whom I find very friendly though very supportive and kind of peer in nutshell. Last but not the least, it was easy to hang around location and college gave us ample of time to rejuvenate our hobbies and to daunt part-time jobs, which was an Elephant in the room since we landed here in Toronto as job market is little bit unsatisfactory.

The post study opportunity is based on skills student have. An student who is just passed may be hired by FANG. In the other hand, topper can be job less. Everything depends on skills and will power.

The college had a wing for the placements which will work on the resumes and try to organize the placement drives for different banks and companies.

The faculty and the staff was really supportive. The college building had all the departments and places which is required though they were not huge in size but better than most of the other colleges.

There is nothing like that in my college. You are on your own. If you have references, then it might get you into an internship else no.

The school is always having a job fair. People are always looking to hire, but nursing and policing fields are more wanted in this area compared to any other. On the other hand most programs do offer a hands on learning environment (job placement). For accounting we do 7 weeks of a tax clinic and if you do 3rd year which is an option, you get a couple weeks of placement

The reason why I chose to go to loyalist college was because the area made me feel at home. I came to visit one time and I just knew I wanted to stay here; not forever, but for the time being. I applied to both ottawa and Belleville in accounting and child studies. In the end I just drew a card from the hat and next thing I knew I was attending loyalist. Best decision.

I am in a placement at the moment, and I am loving it. It is not exactly what I want to for the career, but the experience is important. I am learning so much from the students and other faculty, and I hope that it will help me with my future endevours.

The college is close to home, as I am a majour home body. It was also intriguing and I heard many good things about the school. It was an all over just more convenient choice for me, and so far I am enjoying myself. I am excited to see where this college takes me.

I decided to go to a loyalist because it's close to home, and it has great staff and programs. It's a great campus and always has a lot of things going on around you. It's always clean and welcoming.
