An Honest Review for Lambton College

I applied for two universities: George Brown- Shortlisted, I didn’t move further with my application here, as it was offering either a 1-year program or a 3-year program. And there were no co-op opportunities for students. Lambton College—shortlisted and admitted, I got myself admitted to this as it offers a 2-year program with a co-op opportunity. Since a 2-year program will get you a 3-year work visa, that was the case in 2023. My primary requirement was to have a 2-year program with co-op opportunities for students. That are only met in this college or there were other universities that provided this combo but financially it was expensive for international students. Admission process was simple; the application fee is $0 at Lambton, so it can be a great backup. Once you apply here for free, you receive a conditional offer letter; these conditions are mentioned on the letter itself. Once you clear these conditions, plus pay the one-year fee, you are all set to go to the college. All you need is a visa and permit from IRCC and Service Ontario, respectively. Note: make sure to convert your conditional offer letter to an unconditional offer letter. Nowadays, IELTS and guess PTE and CELPIP are accepted. Earlier, only IELTS was accepted and the required band was 6.5; however, I scored 7.5. Just make sure to upgrade the offer letter by raising a ticket on their JIRA platform and attaching the required documents. I applied for September 2022 however I deferred it to May 2023 as September 2022 was full and January 2023 was not a preference. Back in India when I was working as a Data Analyst in a Textile firm for 2 years as a data analyst I was looking for opportunities within India and outside as well. I have done BSc Mathematics, so I preferred this course as it was well aligned with my study and experience. Just in a shorter note, I am currently enrolled in Business Analytics course as part my Post Graduation Degree at Lambton College, Ottawa. I didn't get a satisfying experience with this course and College. The college has collaborated with the Saint Paul University to share the campus facilities. In the 3rd term we were only scheduled for one day to be on campus for in class sessions and the rest of the course was conducted online giving an unpleasant experience to many of the students.
