The University of British Columbia (UBC) Reviews and Ratings

I got into other top universities as well but I chose UBC over all others because of the quality of student life and the support it provides.

My deep interest to pursue psychology led me to apply to the University of British Columbia as it offers internationally recognized courses and some of the best research laboratories. I was particular keen on joining the course of the cognitive system which allowed me to extend my degree from the field of just psychology, involving courses from a diverse range of subject matters including computer science, linguistics, and philosophy. The campus boasts of its recreational tennis courts which would allow me to continue playing the sport at the college level.

Vancouver is beautiful and UBC is a good school. I also knew quite a few UBC alumni.

love Canada

UBC is close to my home and is in the top 3 universities in Canada overall. Additionally, I want to apply to the Dietetics program here which is offered at select institutions.

Having all my schooling in the British School System I wanted to try out the North American system. Canada seemed like a better option than the US (mainly for political reasons) and after being accepted into a few Canadian universities, I chose UBC because the city of Vancouver seemed to be the most appealing. I consider the city/town to be as important as the institute itself.

Canada was my first option and UBC is one of the best universities in Canada. They also have a very rewarding engineering program.

The co-op program is where you're able to get related work experience to your program. So when you come out of the program as a fresh undergrad, you already have contacts and work experience under your belt. Most Canadian universities have this program, which is great.

On-campus. The rent is approx 950 CAD a month. It is an apartment with 4 bedrooms.

I chose this university because it has a program that I am really interested in and it is one of the best universities in Canada.
