Faculty expertise the faculty members at agmc are knowledgeable and dedicated.
Campus life is amazing we celebrate fresher, college week, synapse, foundation day, teacher day, convocation in my respect, it is fine and good there are smart classes in every lecture hall and proper audio and mike facilities student council
The course is very good and relevant there are good opportunities for placement but the course is very lengthy it take 6 years to complete if you don't fail in any subject but if you fail it may take more.
Dislikes
Most of the faculties have good qualifications they also take classes on time but the teaching method is very poor there are no projectors in some classes and they have to teach on board.
Hostel also not upto the mark and mess food is worst
There is no passion , aggression, dedication and to pay the interns for the amount of job they do!

Why To Join Agartala Government Medical College - Reviews & Rating
The faculty members are helpful in our theory and practical lectures
My batchmates. Even though we don't have extracurricular activities and programs. But together we find our own enjoyment
Our library is quite vast and each and every kind of books related to our course are available
Dislikes
Number of inadequate lecture halls. We do have four lecture halls. But its not sufficient to include all the MBBS and BDS batches.
We dont have proper washrooms and sanitation facilities. Water is a basic need which is quite a luxury in our washrooms though.
The lift we have in our college and the hostel buildings are pathetic. You wont ever know when you will get stuck into one. Since we have our laboratories in the academic buildings patients and family members visit the building regularly.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am an MBBS student. Very recently our curriculum was upgraded from the semester system to the Competency Based medical Education which includes skill development and early clinical Exposure. New curriculum like AETCOM and interaction with patients make it easier for us to get acquinted to the patients early. We give various exams throughout the year and it's tiring. But personally I feel it's effective for me as I keep on procrastinating my lessons. So frequent exams helps me to cover up my backlogs .
Helpful faculties and facilities available in college

Sports amd canteen facilities can be improved
Course Curriculum Overview:
The newly approved CBME course for MBBS is a bit tough but it is more relevant to practical approach.
The best use is in the clinics and during practice.
The understanding and knowledge is tested at every step in clinics.
Regular Part Completion Tests and Internal Examinations keep us in regular touch with studies. And at the end of year, its helpful in clinics and in Final exams
Faculty is very good and helpful..big patient load
Lot can be learnt during internship.....

Campus is too small.. it could have been more large
Over burden of studies..very hectic exam schedules

This course helps to serve people and also let's learn how to communicate with people.. It prepares well for real world applications. Exams are held four times a yr ..two internal assessments one pre University exam and another university exam.. however throughout the yr class tests are held unit tests and viva tutorials are also held..
Good faculties, good exposure, good room for self evaluation and learning and we are not spoon dreses any concepts.
There is enough room for learning skills and also room for research opportunities provided by the college for various topics in the vast scheme of things.

All the aspects of becoming a good doctor are taken into consideration. Course Curriculum is up to date which is good in the field of medical and faculties are very supportive towards students.
College week all the seniors and juniors compete together with joy.
Programes that occur in our auditorium where we perform dance, drama, singing.
Clinical exposures that let us know about diseases and theur appropriate cure
Dislikes
Log book maintaining that we have to do along our studies exams practicals.
Washrooms that are always run out of water
Overburden with sudies exams all the time.
Course Curriculum Overview:
It is a noble course and from the very childhood I had interested about human anatomy and about the physiological mechanisms of our body.
Thus curriculum has direct exposure to the patients like Early Clinical Exposure for the students and also clinical duties everyday atleast for 3 hours. Thus helps us to interact directly with patients.
The curriculum by itself is one if the best but if the clinical exposure is more then it would be the best.
We sit for exams like total 25 to 30 small exams (part complition test) and 3 major exam and one final exam in a year.
Poor College infrastructure and no water supply available in toilets
Air conditioner not working properly and poor electricity connection
Course Curriculum Overview:
The mbbs curriculum is based on more clinical knowledge and experience that made me interested in this course.
The main aim of this curriculum is to provide more clinical knowledge to the students for becoming a better doctor.
The examination part of the curriculum can be improved a bit for the sake of students
There are 4exams taken in a year in the college and the course is of4years academics . The difficulty level of the exams are moderate to severely difficult
We are placed in the hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have based on giving good treatment to the patients. The salary, in the beginning, is good and as the experience increases, we can even open our clinic or even hospital or work privately too. Placement in many renowned hospitals is quite so easy thought AGMC college and they give much money to work as a doctor. Like private Institute provide freshers 30-40k per month salary and govt are giving little bit low salary per month. But after 1year this salary increase.
About 100 students are getting admission every year in MBBS course. Our batch 2014-15 is the 10th batch of this college. And among 100 students of our batch, 90 students passed out in the final year in one go and all of them have successfully completed their internship duties by March 2020. The students become eligible for campus placements after the 3rd year. Almost 60-70% of students get placements every year from our college. I have completed my MBBS in 2019 and internship in 2020. Now I am working as a junior resident in NIL RATAN SARKAR MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, KOLKATA.
