I am in the first semester, so I haven't that idea about academic fees hike ,but there is a dress fee also which was 5k in previous year,& it is 8k . Students fill scholarship form for upscholarship programme, some students get selected in 3rd semester also for placement in companies like TCS & Wipro , but first, they complete their studies and then opt for any job & all.
