Likes

It is one of the oldest institution of India
It has high return on investment ROI that is good.
Here teachers and seniors are very helpful.

Dislikes

First year hostels are are very far from college campus.
First year classes are started very late
First year students are not very free to move anywhere.

Placement Experience:

Semester 7 students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like TATA motors,l&t , Capgemini , Amazon, samsung,and many companies.last year number of offiers are 500+. Highest salary is 50 lpa and the average is 7.5 lpa

my life in bit sindri

Likes

the return of investment of bit sindri is great as compare to others colleges.
the fee structure is low as compare to others colleges.
hostels and mess of bit sindri is better in compare to other colleges.

Dislikes

the faculty oif bit sindri is not up to the mark.
the clubs and society of bit sindri is not doing well for student well fare.
training and placement is mainly done by the student which is not good in term of honesty.

Placement Experience:

6th semester student are get to placements directly through TAP cell. there are different companies come like TATA steel, vedanta, amns, jsw, jsl etc for core brances and for it sector samsung, tcs comes. the highest pakage of bit sindri is 44LPA and the average pakage is almost 6.5 lpa. almost 90 percent of student get placed.

The insight of BIT SINDRI

Likes

The affordability of our college is appreciable. The campus acre of our college is spread over 480 acre which is very huge.
Our institute is established in 1949 so it's having 75 years so it has lots of connection all over globe. Many ias chairman are from our college.
The alumni network of our college is outstanding. SAIL chairman is from our college and many ips and ias. The surrounding is very competitive Evey yaer single digit rank holder in gate is from our college.

Dislikes

The hostels is not very old as it's having 75 years of establishment. The electricity problem is a major issue but now solar are being installed in every hostel
Their is very rules and regulations in our college regarding uniform for freshers no casual dress and long route for going to class which make first year student tired.
Our college is only available for jhatka residents only which make its less diverse. The labs needs some repairs

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Top companies visits our college like Amazon, Google, samsung,tata, vedanta , Capgemini, reliance,TCS,Honda etc. The highest placement last year was of 50 lpa in de Shaw company. Many students got above 10 lpa 75- 80 percent of student gets placed in our college. Due to rigorous hard work of our college. I have a plan to have a campus placement and enjoy

Bit My college experience

Likes

Nice environment ,nature is goood and faculty is also nice
Hostel food is so good and wifi facility everywere
Faculty members are very cooperative and helping

Dislikes

College campus is not ragging free and not anti-ragging
Poor infrastructure and unavailable of vehicles inside
Lab facilities is not good and improper instruments

Placement Experience:

Placement of college is very good and package is also good ,in civil engineering we got job offer from l&t , reliance,tata steel& co,acc and alomost everyone got placement,and maximum package is 8lakh per annum

The garden of ROI, BIT SINDRI.

Likes

Good faculties and green lush campus. Good labs too.
Mentorship quality need to be improved little so that we can gain more.
Social interaction is also good. There are lot of clubs to join.

Dislikes

Not utilized the space of the college correctly, it should be improved.
Maintenance of building is required to get some good feel

Placement Experience:

In 5th semester students get eligible for the placement, there are many big companies like TATA and JSW, Amazon and Deshaw visit the campus for recruitment. The highest package offered recently was 55 lpa. avg is 7 lpa. My plan is also to grab good placement.

Insights of BIT Sindri

Likes

Lots of leisure time apart from academics.
Large campus area, good for running and morning walk
police protection for girls and separate road for them.

Dislikes

Senior ragging (light ragging like calling sir )
academics:- no proper exam/ holidays calendar and no pre defined things
somewhat faculty :- some of them are only for taking salary not for teaching.

Placement Experience:

Yes placements are there but not as much as good than Top NITs/IITs. This colleges gives you double of the money which you will invest in your 4 yr of B.Tech. Mainly 80% of students get placed with 8.5Lpa average ctc and get upto 55Lpa if you manages to crack MNCs for tech.

BIT Sindri Review from an insider perspective.

Likes

Learning from knowledgeable and experienced professors who are experienced in their field. Most of them are PHDs from top IITs.
Campus life is great. There are multiple clubs which you can join for extra curricular activities.
Regular workshops and seminars with industry peofessionals.

Dislikes

No wi fi in campus or hostle. You can still stall wifi on your own in your hostle room.
Labs are outdated. Machines are mostly old and some of them doesn’t work at all.

Placement Experience:

Final year students i.e. from 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Companies like Tata Steel, L&T , Vedanta limited, TSUIL, TCE, Adani group, Aditya Birla group and many more companies visited the campus for placements. Also Core engineering branch students are also eligible for IT companies like TCS , Accenture, Deloitte etc they also visit campus. Total offers made this year was around 400 Average package is around 6.5 LPA. Highest package is 13.2 LPA by Vedanta for GET role. Around 75% of students were placed. My plans after degree :- I am joining L&T Constructions after my degree. I was offered this role by L&T during my campus placements. My responsibilities will be to assist the senior engineers and learn from them.

Personal Experience at BIT

Likes

Faculty are good and have proper grip in their subjects .
placements are very well and for those students having weak family background this college is best for them

Dislikes

College don't have a night life and organizing a fest and getting permission for that is difficult.
College having 4 to 5 gates having no guards only the main gate having guard.
Lack of staffs in Department. Not fully functional labs only 3 to 4 experiments can only hapen

Placement Experience:

From the 7th sem, students are eligible for campus placements. Last year's data shows a total of 92%-95% of students were placed and the rest of them went for higher studies. The average Package for the students is 6 to 7 lakhs depending upon the branches. The highest package for core branches is offered by Vedanta at 14.5 lpa and for IT company it was 50 lpa. I am here for campus placements and preparing for the GATE Examination side by side.

The Campus environment is very comfortable and full of nature.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other colleges
The placement of core streams are pretty good

Dislikes

Lack of places to go for opportunities and to relax.
The professors does not understand the importance of internships and placements Nd does not support.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are available for placements. Many companies like tata steel, ABG , Vedanta ,technip , etc visit for placements. Highest package can go upto 12 LPA and lowest can go upto 3.75 LPA. 90% students can get placed .

I liked the hostel facilities it is very good and affordable
I liked the teaching staff as well as supporting seniors

Placement Experience:

From end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit here like L&T, vedanta ,Adani,TATA STEEL,TATA POWER,Sri cement,etc offering offers more than students eligible. About 70 percent from every branch of stydents get placed

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
