They are well qualified professors , have depth knowledge in what they are teaching, solve your problems in seconds .
College has good sports facilities and we can play cricket anytime
No matter which domain you're interested in, the diverse curriculum ranging from cloud computing to economics and evs is sure to enlighten you in all aspects.

No M tech facility for Computer Science Engineering Students
small Campus , infrastructure can be improved , canteen facility should be given
there is no such dislike about the great collage but one thing is infrastructure can be improved

Likes

The environment in the campus it's clean and green
The teaching styles of almost every profs.(There would always be exception)

Dislikes

The size of the campus is quite small as compared to other colleges.
The High frequency of the exams makes it somewhat difficult for skill development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is as per the MAKAUT board which everyone knows needs some upgradation. The teachers at our institute follows the curriculum and covers almost every topics.The frequency of exams are quite high as there are 2 mid terms there are exams every 1.5 to 2 months.

Likes

In government College of engineering and ceramic technology we have got friendly nature with our faculty and students.
We have got better learning facilities with better faculty
The social club and social events gives us more learning.

Dislikes

Most important things is we need more company for CS & It department on Placement season

Course Curriculum Overview:

In 20th century we see software industry got its peak . Everything around the world start depending upon digital world or computer things . So I choose the Career course. Subjects are conceptual in this course so we need to learn deeply for better academic performance.

Likes

There are so many student clubs such as tech club , coding club which will help us a lot
There are so many sports events in college
the faculty of the college is so good they help us a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

The couses of the college is arranged so well that no one will have problem with that. The teaching methods of the teachers are so nice.The frequency of exam is also suitable . you have to attend 3 exams in 6 months and difficulty level of exam is intermidiate.

Best ceramic college of West Bengal

Likes

Infrastructure and college campus are very good
Lab which is well equiped with all modern ceramic things
The professors are very helpful and friendly

Dislikes

No canteen facilities available in the college
The grounds are not that large..........
There is not enough space for the boys hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is in par with latest technology. We have timely exams conducted throughout the semester which includes 2 mid terms along with the end semester examination. Here we learn everything related to the ceramic industry.

IIT for Ceramic technology

Likes

Infrastructure and college campus.
Lab which is well equipped with all modern ceramic technology
The professors are very helpful and friendly

Dislikes

No canteen facilities available in the college
There is not enough space for the boys in the hostel. The hostel seats are very limited

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well structured. We have regular examination 2 mid terms and an end semester exam. We have enough time to study for the examination. It's easy to pass the exam if you follow the notes and attend the class regularly.

Very nice and supportive environment

Likes

The teachers are very helpful and supportive.
The seniors are also very helpful and guide us to get internship.
The labs are very modern and we do not feel any lack of infrastructure here

Dislikes

Canteen facilities is not available.
The campus is very small. So not enough space to explore
The grounds are very small for football and cricket

The curriculums are well developed and designed. Classes include theoretical and practical classes. It prepares us for job interviews as well as for real life scenarios. The exams are frequent and well scheduled so students get enough time.

Likes

The Atmosphere of the college is very nice.
The seniors are very friendly and helpful.
The teachers and faculties are very good.

Dislikes

The college campus does have a functional canteen.
The playgrounds are not big enough and beside there is no place for expansion
The college buildings are old and very big

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is good. Students from 6th semester become eligible for campus placement. The placement rate are more than 90% more ct and about 60 -70%for cse and it. Companies like TCS,Infosys, wipro are the major recruiters.

Glimpse of GCECT

Likes

The teachers as well faculty are nice. The atmosphere of the college is very nice
The seniors are very helpful and friendly
Throughout the year many fest and competition takes place

Dislikes

Being an old institute the building are not that big and a bit old
The playground is not that big and has no option for expansion as it is the middle of the city

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good in the college. The average package is around 550000. From 6th semester onwards the students are eligible for campus placement. The placement rate is more than 90% for ct, for cse and IT is around 60-70%. Companies like TCS, Infosys,HCL tech, IBM, Hitachi and Amazon visits the college for recruitment

A good place to start your career

Likes

I liked the campus,the atmosphere and the students. The environment is too good and it is very rare in engineering colleges
The sports events are very good in our college.
The clubs are good and seniors help us in different fields. Whenever we face any problem they come forward to help us.

Dislikes

The college is small as compared to other colleges.
The classes are old and the canteen is bad. It promised to be open but after the freshers, it got closed

Placement Experience:

See the placement scenario here is different from other colleges. The bitter truth is ,the ceramic department gets the best placement here. The average package of CT is 8.5 lakhs per annum whereas CSE and IT have an average package of 4.5-6 LPA. The placement cell officer is inactive in CSE - IT department so students take part in the placement cell. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant visit our college. Beside this, Geotech and the IBM also visited in recent years. So the placement is okay to good in level.
