GNIT Hyderabad: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 16 Reviews

Admission to the college largely hinges on performance in entrance exams like EAMCET, followed by counseling sessions. Scholarships such as the PMSS cover full tuition and hostel costs for J&K students based on merit. The faculty is well-regarded, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 9:1, though reviews on teaching quality vary. Annually, tuition fees are approximately 75,000 INR, with category students possibly paying 5,000 to 10,000 INR, while others might pay between 1 to 2 lakh INR.

The college offers placements mainly in branches like ECE, EEE, and CSE, with limited opportunities in core branches. Eligible students, typically in their 4th year with 75% averages, receive average packages of 2-2.5 LPA, with top packages reaching 6-8 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, and Infosys participate in placement drives, offering packages from 2 to 3.5 LPA. The college's training and placement cell aids in skill development for job readiness.

Internships are available from the third year, with students having the autonomy to secure them independently. Scholarship offerings include a 35,000 rupee scholarship from the Telangana government, full fee waivers for ranks under 10,000, and a 50% scholarship for students scoring above 75% in their 12th exams. The total course cost can be up to 5 lakhs for subjects like civil engineering. The college's average placement package ranges from 3 to 5 lakh INR annually, with the highest package reaching 12 lakh INR.

However, concerns about fee reimbursement management have been raised.
