- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

From 8th sem students become eligible for campus placements. mostly TCS, cognizant, Infosys, IBM, Asian paints hire students from our college highest package are around 20lpa and the average is around 5.5lpa. more than 90 percent student got placed. I will go for a master's after getting this degree.

YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CAMPUS RECUIREMENT FROM 6TH SEMESTER ONWARDS. A LOTS OF COMPANY VISIT IN MY COLLEGE EVERY YEAR. SEE IF YOU ARE A AVERAGE STUDENT YOU WILL BE PLACEMENT. BUT THE PROBLEM IS CORE BRANCH STUDENT GETS PLACED IN IT SECTOR. THERE IS NOT MANY CORE COMPANY VISITING HALDIA CAMPUS. CHEMICAL BRANCH PLACEMENT IS ALMOST 100% HERE AND ALMOST ALL STUDENT IT RELATED BRANCH GOTS PLACED IN HALDIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. PLACEMENT IS NOT A BIG CONCERN IN HALDIA , WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THE COMPANY WHERE YOU GET PLACED. SO STUDY HARD SO THAT YOU COULD AVOID MASS RECRUITER COMPANY. HIGHEST PAKAGE SECURED HERE IS 40 LPA WHICH IS OFFCOURSE OFF CAMPUS. AVERAGE PACKAGE IN HALDIA IS APPROX 4.5 - 5 LPA.

Placement Experience:
The placement of the college is very good.
Average placement is between 4.5 LPA for CSE/IT/ECE/EE/EIE. Then college is the best to know for placement in CHEMICAL CSE IT Food tech and biotech.
Students are eligible for placement and internships from the 6th semester onwards.
Almost 85-90 percent of students get placements. The highest package offered in 2021 was 40 LPA.

the students get eligible for campus placement in 6th semester and the companies which visit the campus are TCS Infosys Wipro and many other take gen true with them any other chemical companies located near the college also visit the college for directly hiding and food processing companies also visit the college and rolls like like tech support and other things are hired from the college and the highest package was into it has in 1924 and lowest is of 3 lacs and medium package that is average package provided are approximately 6 to 5 lacs my plans after getting the degree are to with own cyber security company

From the 7th semester you are eligible for placements. coming to placement the mass recruiter visited like INFOSYS, WIPRO, TCS, TECH MAHINDRA, COGNIZANT.also last year BIG BASKET visited take students almost 18 at 9lpa.average package is 4-5 LPA and the highest is 9-10lpa. 97% of students got placed. also startups like BYJUS, EXTRA MARKS visited.

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placement during the seventh semester. The companies visiting here are Tcs, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Oracle, Amazon, etc. Companies with higher LPA offer 10 to 20 offers while mass recruiters hire around 200 students. The highest package offered 40 LPA and the average is near 5 LPA. Almost 100 percent of students of CSE get placed. Our college has approximately 100% placements in IT, CS, and chemical engineering departments. For internships, you have to do it on your own. You have to grab opportunities for yourself to get ab internship. the good thing is that in HIT you will get a lot of opportunities to explore yourselves

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
