IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The Placement department provides us with various Internship opportunities for WIP and SIP programs. The average package for placement is Rs. 5lakh/year and a maximum package is Rs. 15 lakh/year. The placement scope for HRM and Finance is limited but the placement scope in Marketing and Business Analytics is very good in IEM.

After 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Amazon, Microsoft and other more companies. Average package=4 lakhs, max package= 22 lakh. 90% to 95% working in its industry.

Students become eligible for placements when they study in their 7th semester. But some companies do conduct some online tests for 3rd-year students on the basis of which they may offer them internship which can be converted in a full-time job later. There are many MNCs which come to our college for the recruitment like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Keysight, Sankalp, GreyB, NRI, Adzooba etc. The placement for 2021 pass out students is still going on but till now, the average package is 4.5 lakhs per annum. 100% of students get placed from the college other than those who want to opt for higher studies. After I get the degree, I am planning to get a job and work hard enough to keep growing and proving myself in the company.

It's one of the top colleges in West Bengal. Very reputed organization for it's disciplines, education and placement. There are highly qualified faculties who help a lot to get job. I had education loan of 4 lakhs.

IEM Kolkata ranks no.1 among the top private university in west Bengal and it's placement record is excellent also its is the first private engineering college in west Bengal and it's quality of education is also good.

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

From 3rd year, i.e. 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, HDFC, Wipro, Lupid, Vodafone, ICICI Bank, Reliance Money, Godrej, Axis Bank, HP and many more companies come to our college to recruit the students eligible for their company. Student can get more details regarding the number of offers given by the companies using the link, iem.edu.in. 5-6 LPA is the average package and 40 LPA is the highest package till now. Above 8.00 YGPA is a good percentage required for getting good placements from IEM.

I choose this institution because I was not willing to get out of Kolkata at that moment and in Kolkata there are no other better options were available at that time. Hence I choose this college. No I hadn't went for the educational loan.

To get eligible for campus placement facilities, the college gives a strict cut off of cgpa 7+. Companies like TCS, TATA, WIPRO, GODREJ have visited college providing 5+lpa. Almost all students of the college, everyone gets placed in either of the job offers. Almost 97% of students get placed in companies. After getting the degree I always have wished to join my dream company TCS as a web designer.

I.e.m is already among the reputed colleges in kolkata. For me, the reputation for its discipline was one of the prime factors along with the placement statistics of the last few years. The help we got from faculty members was worth gratitude. The whole MBA/PGDM community was like a family for us.
