A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Faculty:

There are almost around 50 students in every class. Most of the faculties are good. There are 2 internal test in every semester and the end term examination which includes practicals and internship report presentation

The friendliness of the faculty members and the college staff

Faculty:

Faculty members are good and has knowledge but due to lack of infrastructure the teaching methods are lacking. They conduct 3 exams which are knows as Class Internal Evaluation which is of 20 marks each and best of 2 are considered for internal marking and one final exam known as end sem is conducted of 80 marks. If we fail is a subject then we can reappear the subject in an odd semester as a backlog subject

Facility members are just awesome.. Tremendous hardworking and very supporting.. We have 3 cie exams of 20 marks in 1 sem and having end sem exam in between there are practical lab project group assignment ppt and various other tasks to perform

The teachers from all the departments are very well behaved, helpful and cooperative. The college is affiliated to ASTU that is Assam Science and Technology University. The exams and syllabus are as mentioned in the ASTU curriculum for each department.

Faculty:

In my department the faculty members are preety friendly in nature , faculty to student ratio is 1:10, and we manages to cooperate with the faculties and all, learning experiense is good but the dimension of the classroom is not calculated at the time of the construction basically the planning of the is not mappes so resulting in compaction in sittingg and effect in freeform. teaching and mentorship is good , the gine their best to make us bentfited as far as the can. we oftennterect with our afaculty members

Departmental Faculties are really friendly.They are quite helpful in the college attendance and other stuff..
Internship opportunities are quite good someone is really interested.Teachers are quite helpful.
Principal is strict hence academics are given utmost priority. Its helpful for the students who are willing to learn.

Faculty:

Faculties are well qualified I think.A lot of the faculty members have PhD degrees as well.Some of the teachers are doing their PhD currently.Almost all of them atleast have masters degree.They are quite helpful as well.So no issue on this part.

All the teachers behaves so well and all are ready to guide at anytime.

Faculty:

In the department of CS & IT department the number of teachers is very low. The teachers are available anytime & they helps in studies. They interact with the students & ask every student If they are having any problem when any student get low marks. tell us every time to be present at class. But the only problem is I think faculty to student ratio. Sometimes a teacher takes two subjects class. Same teachers have class in different classes problems like this.. because of this I think the teachers also get in problems they don't even have enough time to sit sometimes.

Faculty:

To my best knowledge from the B.Tech departments which are Civil, Mechanical, PEI and ETC every professor has a Btech and mtech degree. From Bsc departments which are Maths, physics, chemistry and IT, their professor are also MSC qualified.

JIST: An Overview.

Faculty:

There are around 7-8 faculties in our course. All of them are highly qualified and the average age is around 30-35 years. They have proper clarity of concepts and always tries to do better for the students. But more efforts are welcomed as well. Regarding the relevant certifications they have without any doubts.

Faculty is ok no so good. some teachers are good at teaching whereas some are absolutely worst. Only main point of view is full theory without proper understanding about the topic. although faculty is 5 out of 10
