SMIT Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 6th semester you are eligible for placement, a company like MICROSOFT, AMAZON, WELL FARAGO, DELL, MU SIGMA, IXIA, DELL, ERICSSON, SHELL, TCS, WIPRO, and many more in 2020 there are approx 410 offers for 378 students registered for placement MICROSOFT and AMAZON offered the highest package of 24 lac per year followed by dell and average package is around 4 lac approximately 94% students are placed.

Campus placement starts from 3rd year. Students start preparing from initial years only. We are also given some coaching in the college during Sundays and that’s very helpful. Most of my friends got placed in good companies. The highest package was 12-15 LPA. And the average package is 6 LPA. 95% placements.

The students become eligible for placement during the end of the third year. This period often involves placement training for the upcoming interviews and standardized tests for individual companies. The placement is quite good for students from computer science and IT department and companies such as Dell, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, Ericson pay their visits. Other than that company like Siemens, L&T, Wells Fargo also visit to hire students from the Mechanical and Civil department but there is a lot of room for improvements for placements for Mechanical and Civil engineering students. As per my knowledge, the highest package was around 15 lakhs and the lowest package was around 3.8 lakhs. A great percentage of students get placed from Computer science, Electronics and communications and IT department by the end of the final year. As I was always dreamed of working as a mechanical engineer I was successful in acquiring a job in Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd. after graduation.

In 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Companies Visited are Microsoft, DELL, Wipro, Shell, etc. Highest Package: 22 LPA. Average package: 3.75 LPA. Percentage of Students: more than 90% of students. After the degree, I will take the placements.

Around 96% of students get placed. Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Many high-end companies hire like DELL, shell, Microsoft. Other companies also hire like sony, erricson, wellsfargo, Capgemini etc. highest package received is 18 lakhs per year and the average package is around 4-5 lakhs per year.

SMIT has a very good ranking in the North-East. (2nd Top Private College in the East Zone.) It has about 50+ funded projects. It has 95%+ placement record with good packages offered (22L+ PA highest package offered). One can avail for good internships.

All the sixth semester students are eligible for the campus placements. The placement rate is optimum with the highest packages being 10 lakhs per year. I will most likely do my MBA and work on my own business plans.

The campus recruitment drive is good here. Companies like simplex come for the recruitment drive for the civil engineering branch. Packages the companies provide are good. Average of 2 lakhs per annum.

All students qualified for placements are getting placed via campus placements. For 2021 batch placements are going on since August, and companies are still visiting, considering the pandemic. The average package is from 3.5-10 Lakhs. Top recruiting companies are - Dell, Microsoft, Cognizant, Shell, Capgemini, Infosys, Boston scientific and all other top MNC's. Various placement and internship drives are conducted through the year. The top roles offered are of - SDE, Analyst. sales and marketing jobs are also provided.
