The college has an adequate number of faculty members, although only three specialize in pure computational chemistry. Most faculty members are approachable and actively engage with students, while a few may seem less friendly. Students have access to research internships on campus and opportunities at both national and international levels. In the chemical sciences department, 4th and 5th-year students must complete project work under faculty supervision and present their findings, which is a key part of the curriculum.
Tuition fees are affordable, with general and OBC category students paying INR 9,800 per semester, and SC/ST category students paying around INR 3,000 per semester. There are also small additional fees for cultural events. Integrated MSc students can apply for scholarships like DST-INSPIRE or DAE-DISHA, which provide stipends, with the DISHA fellowship offering INR 5,000 per month. Both scholarships have differing CGPA requirements for continuation.
