Personally, I believe that to be the case. Despite the fact that the topics can appear to be the same, the PGDM core contains all of the essential studies. Placements are roughly the same, however, there is an increased emphasis on key subjects. However, total competition is higher, and a greater emphasis is placed on attentiveness. BIMTECH PGDM Admission 2026

Admissions to the PGDM 2026-28 batch at BIMTECH are currently open, with the application deadline set for 5th April 2026. The selection process involves shortlisting based on entrance exam scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT), followed by a Personal Interview (PI) and Extempore round. The final merit list is prepared considering entrance scores, PI performance, past academic record, work experience, and other parameters. Eligibility Criteria

Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognised university.
Candidates appearing in their final year graduation examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2026 may also apply provisionally; they must submit their final result with minimum 50% marks by 31st October 2026.
Valid score in CAT 2025 / XAT 2026 / GMAT (2024 or 2025-26) / CMAT 2026 is mandatory for Merit category seats.

Admission Process

Step 1: Fill and submit the online application form at the BIMTECH Admissions Portal with a non-refundable application fee of INR 2,250.
Step 2: Upload valid entrance exam score/percentile (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT) on the student dashboard once results are declared.
Step 3: Shortlisted candidates are called for the Selection Process comprising Extempore and Personal Interview (PI), conducted online or offline at BIMTECH Greater Noida campus, Bangalore, Indore, Kolkata, and Lucknow.
Step 4: Final merit list is prepared based on entrance score (35%), PI and Extempore (30%), past academic performance (9%), engineering degree weightage (8%), work experience (8%), regional diversity (5%), and gender diversity for female candidates (5%).
Step 5: Admission offer is communicated via email, SMS, WhatsApp, and student dashboard. Selected candidates must pay the 1st instalment of fee within the deadline mentioned in the offer letter.

BIMTECH PGDM FAQs

Ques. Is the BIMTECH PGDM equivalent to an MBA degree? Will it be accepted by employers the same way?

Ans. Yes, the BIMTECH PGDM is approved by AICTE and has been granted MBA equivalence by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is also accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation). From an employability standpoint, there is no differentiation between an MBA and a PGDM in the job market. In fact, PGDM programmes are often considered more industry-aligned due to their flexible curriculum design.

Ques. Is staying in the hostel mandatory at BIMTECH? Can I opt out if I live nearby?

Ans. No, you cannot opt out. All BIMTECH PGDM programmes are compulsorily residential, and staying in the institute's hostel for the complete 2-year duration is mandatory without exception. This applies to all admitted students regardless of their proximity to the campus. The hostel and mess charges are therefore a mandatory part of the total cost.

Ques. I have a CMAT score but not a CAT/XAT score. Can I still apply for PGDM Core at BIMTECH?

Ans. Yes, CMAT 2026 is accepted for PGDM Core admissions at BIMTECH. However, the minimum CMAT percentile required for shortlisting for PGDM Core is 95 (equivalent to a score of 240), which is significantly higher than the CAT/XAT cutoff of 75 percentile. So while CMAT is accepted, the bar is set much higher compared to CAT/XAT.

Ques. What is the actual total cost of doing PGDM at BIMTECH including hostel?

Ans. The tuition fee is INR 14,00,000 for 2 years. Adding mandatory hostel rent (INR 3,27,600), mess charges (INR 1,68,000), medical insurance (INR 10,000), and certification fee (INR 20,000), the total comes to approximately INR 19,25,600 before the refundable security deposit of INR 50,000. So the effective non-refundable cost is approximately INR 19,25,600.

Ques. Does BIMTECH offer any scholarships for students who got a good CMAT or GMAT score?

Ans. No. The Late Basant Kumar Birla Admission Merit Scholarship is available only to candidates admitted through CAT or XAT scores. Students admitted via GMAT, CMAT, or MAT are not eligible for this particular scholarship. However, all students (except supernumerary category) are eligible for the G.D. Birla Academic Merit Scholarship based on their performance during the programme.

Ques. What are the international exposure opportunities at BIMTECH for PGDM students?

Ans. BIMTECH has student exchange programmes with 13 reputed foreign universities in countries including France, Austria, Finland, and the USA. The selection process involves academic performance at BIMTECH, a personal interview, and a Statement of Purpose. High Fees Structure upholds not ingrained calamities that would provide accumulations.

The Fee is 14 Lakhs for the General Category. Scholarships are provided based on different criteria - such as the percentage of marks you score in Competitive exams and other college Scholarships once you join college. The fees are not increasing as such just normalization is being done. Other candidates who have sponsored category pay 19 lakhs for the whole course. there is no such amount of scholarship limit given to the eligible candidates. Some financial aids are also provided to particular candidates who qualify for the same.

Great Journey with BIMTECH and upGrad

Result publishing time is very late in online.

I have done my PGDM from BIMTECH by using upGrad Platform. This is a distance learning program so therefore the fee structure is changer from the actual BIMTECH college PGDM course. In my course I have to pay 275000 fees. This is a single time payment. If I have come with a refferal person then in that case I have to pay arround 250000. For this payment thing there is lot of EMI option. Some are no cost emi option. I did choose 5 years of EMI option. Platform is very good, WE got every kind of notes through online. We can watch recording classes. Facaulty are very friendly and helpful.

A sour and sweet journey, just got through it

Tuition fee increasing with time, but ROI isn't that good looking at the batch slot. Complete cost of education is 17,00,000 including hostel. Scholarship opportunities are good. Student loan facility available. Campus internships are mostly unpaid and most companies do not offer any stipend. Job roles provided by companies are good.

Case solving is given due diligence in the course.the placements are okay

At my time the fee was 17 lakhs including fooding and lodging.As it is a residential program,it is mandatory to take the hostel.For financial assistance you can easily get a loan of upto 17-20 lakhs without any collateral.the college has partnered with few banks which offers loan at a minimum rate .there are scholarships also.if you score more than 80 percentile in CAT , XAT and Gmat you can get a scholarship of 4 lakhs-8 lakhs.

A broad review

13 lakhs were the tution fees for whole course and on that 4 lakhs hostel and mess fees. Hostel and mess is compulsory for every student. There are 3 to 4 scholarships you can check on College website. I personally got scholarship of 50000 for first trimester.

Introducing Bimtech

Okay the cost of education is mention on their side and that's only it I don't think it is going to change for now and it in closed tuition fees of your hostel fee because the program is residential so it includes all of that and there are I think 4 or 5 scholarship program as well which is one based on the score of your competitive exams as well as how you perform in the exams here in bimtech so you get some awards and scholarship based on that.

The tuition fees is 1300000 for pgdm and international business. For retail and insurance it is 900000. The hostel fees is same for everyone that is 400000 and it is compulsory to stay in hostel. There is scholarship for 98 students who gets percentiles in cat and xat.
