VIT Pune Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement due to recession is pretty bad still highest package was recorded this year and next year will be even bigger because of the web3 culture here as web3 is the only field that is offering tremendous packages to freshers

From 6th semster student becomes eligible for placements . microsoft , jp morgan , morgan stanley, etc companies visit campus . 51 lakh offered by NVDIA is hightest package offered . more than 90 percent student get placed at the end of the 4th year. my plan are to get a job in campus placements

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology's placements are above average. Students are eligible for placement from the 6th semester itself. Companies like Nvidia, wipro, tcs, etc visit our college. Ninety per cent of students get placed during company interviews.

The college claims its placements are very good and average salary of 12.18 lpa as per their stats (talking about cs core) . Big names likes Jp morgan, amazon, microsoft, deutsche bank , nvidia and many other companies do visit the college during placement period . Around 90% students which sat for placements gets placed which is very good thing . Also the students gets internships during 3rd year of the college and most of the internships are paid . There is separate training and placement office in the college which provides internships and various placement opportunities to the students. In the third year itself students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies hire students from the college such as Nvidia, Barclays, Deutsche Bank and many more. The highest package every year goes around 45lpa to 50lpa. The average package differs from branch to branch for example C.S. branch has average package of 12lpa, I.T. branch has 10lpa and E&TC has 8lpa. Around 70-80% students from one class are eligible for the campus placements and from eligible students almost every student is placed in good companies.

I chose Information Technology as it is a core branch. I was not convinced by the specializations in the CS branch and wanted a core branch. The curriculum is great and being an autonomous college gives it a freedom to explore new domains. The curriculum from the start of the first year itself is great and gives you a taste of how things work in the real world. Also, many subjects are introduced in the first year itself for self-development and placement-related training, etc. One area in which the curriculum can be improved is the fact that option to choose a subject like physics or chemistry for students who are genuinely interested in them and want to learn that in the first year at least. There are two exams per semester. One is the mid-sem exam and the second is the end-sem examination. The major focus of the institute is on the projects and viva and thus that is taken more seriously than written examinations.

The campus placement in our college is good. It is about 75% as of our department and it varies from department to department but or it is nice as it is ranked 175 in NRF and it is a good college and for all other it is Almost same as our department and interviews some plans Offered highest packages Is is 50 lakhs highest package. Average package is 10,00,000

From 6th semester interviews are started at the college. There are 200+ companies available for placement through the college. CS branch recieves highest package. About 70 to 80 percent sutdents get placement through college.

Placements in our college is decent. There are many companies which recruits our brilliant talents and and give them a decent package. But recently after recession, the job opportunity is overall lesser so it's very competitive and depends on person to person nowadays.

Specific aspects are like that i want to learn something new and this course is the future that i thought The curriculum is very well prepared Still I have not learn more things in this course so I can't specify the improvements
