Course Curriculum Overview
Since the college is autonomous, it designs the curriculum on its own. 70% of total marks are for presentations, group discussions, viva and lab examinations. Rest 30% of total marks are for written exams. And this made me choose this college for my undergrad degree because this college focuses more on building skills in their students.
Internships Opportunities
Currently I am in the second year of my degree. The college offers internships in the 1st and 2nd semester of fourth year of the degree. College personally reaches out to different companies and tie up for the internships so that no student can passout without having any practical experience of working in industry.
Placement Experience
There is separate training and placement office in the college which provides internships and various placement opportunities to the students. In the third year itself students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies hire students from the college such as Nvidia, Barclays, Deutsche Bank and many more. The highest package every year goes around 45lpa to 50lpa. The average package differs from branch to branch for example C.S. branch has average package of 12lpa, I.T. branch has 10lpa and E&TC has 8lpa. Around 70-80% students from one class are eligible for the campus placements and from eligible students almost every student is placed in good companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you get admission through the spot rounds you have to pay full fees which is 1,92,000 per year. But if you get admission through cap round through your reservation seat and you are from Maharashtra you will be eligible for MAHADBT scholarship and then you will be paying fees according to the college scholarship structure. For example VJNT category students will have to pay only 30000rs to the college since the college get 162000rs paid by the government directly but for that you have to apply for the scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus life is excellent. You will never regret for the campus life. There is one inter-department competition event happens in the summer of every year which is the most famous event in the college. And also there is one inter-college competition event called 'melange' in which students from all over India come to participate. College has 2 libraries one is for academics related books and other one is for research journals. Each classroom has one projector and each lab has it's separate wifi. Since the campus is very small there is only one cricket ground on which students play cricket, football, kho-kho and kabbaddi. Also there are more than 60 clubs in the college. There is a special committee for organizing the events named 'EPEC'. The committee has various domains which can be helpful for improving various skills
Admission
The college offers B.Tech having 7 different branches. You can get admission into the college through JEE Mains or MHT-CET. You can get admission in the college by CAP round or SPOT round. You can get scholarship if you are from any of the reserved category. But for that you have to get admission by the cap round only. You can't get scholarship by getting admission by spot round. The frequency of exams is once in a semester that is there is only one final exam per semester (no in-sem exams).
