Teaching faculty is good.the teachers here are experienced and have a lot of knowledge regarding their respective subjects and are helpful and keen to teach
Technical fest and other tour like shimla,manali,is great opportunity to explore
Course is well designed for bachelor of engineering not extra subject here which was not use in our future in other universities 2years physics,maths are compulsory but here it is not.syllabus and curriculum are very good here.faculty are good here.

Dislikes

The course curriculum can be demanding and require a lot of hard work from students.
Overall the course is beneficial from the future perspective but the teachers that are in the branch are the most hated part .
The teachers no doubt teach good but the behaviour they show towards children is depressing for me till now.

Likes

Yeah there are many beneficiaries we are provided and good and appreciateed management of the college with neatness
Faculty is very nice they used to teach us very nicely the way they teach is really hardworking
There are many curricular activities happens in the college yearly or can be say monthly

Dislikes

There are few things that I dislike the campus is too large but the roads are very nice
There is parking problem for vehicles in the campus
And everything is nice as per me well infrastructure roads education

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically I am from non medical background my family preferred me to do B tech in any subject after giving exam I got seat in this subject . I think everything is according to are level but the daily classes must happened No difficulty in exams the timing is 3hr that is enough for an exam

I liked the campus location in which it is located in .main Chandigarh
The roads and the connectivity is very good here. You can always travel by any means here.
The campus is 500 acre the lush green campus

Dislikes

Most of the teachers don't have adequate knowledge to teach
In mechanical section female ratio is very low
Teachers do not teach properly here. No practical way to understand theory.

Placement Experience:

College placement is above average. Students start to get placed in 7th semester. In order to get a good placement you CG should be above 7. You should have worked in a various projects. Your communication skills has to be good. The high placement offered is 42 lakh of campus. And 25 lacs on campus nearly 70% of students get placed.

Review of UIET, Panjab University

Likes

The faculty is highly experienced and supportive.
The Panjab University library boasts an impressive catalogue of books.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is lacking compared to the private universities.
Coding culture is worse compared to IITs/NITs

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent. Most CSE and IT students get placed at 7+ LPA CTC. Highest package is around 20 LPA. For CSE and IT branches, the median package is around 7 LPA, and average package is slightly higher than that, around 9 - 10 LPA.

Likes

There's no issue of attendance you can have a minimum of 10% attendance after this you can give final exam without any obligation
The dance and drama club these are the most reputed clubs of our college
There's no timing for both boys and girls hostel you can hangout with your friends whenever you want no one will raise any issue

Dislikes

There's no relative marking absolute marking is there so you have to score more to maintain your cgpa
Mess food is not that good you have to either order it from Zomato or swiggy
There's too many dogs which can harm you at night so Beawar of them

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered and students placed from our college to big tech gaints like Flipkart, policy bazar, ZS, AMEX, Amazon, Credit etc so there's no issue of campus placement the one thing you have to do is to maintain your CGPA nothing else.

An Improving College having various opportunities for students with various pros and cons to consider

UIET is improvising in terms of placements, if you are worthy enough and have put efforts throughout, you will get placed easily. TPC is very responsible and understanding.
Oxygen rich water coolers, library and reading halls are very good.
Experienced Professors and labs like DIC and Telelabs give exposure to vrious industry level projects and interna along with research scholars. Collaborating with PGI and different orgs to provide solutions.

Dislikes

Food Quality at Stuc and hostels and Canteen are not very good, there is a problem of proper cleanliness.
UIET’s Campus is very small. 3 blocks and 1 canteen. You don’t get proper seating to have lunch.
Not everyone gets hostels, you need to be ready to hunt PGs and flats through brokers with high rents.

Placement Experience:

7th semester is the placement season. Companies visited: Amex, ZS Associates, Stonewain, KPMG, Deloitte, DeltaX, Infosys, Cognizant, Incedo, Caelius Consulting, GreyB, IndiaP2P, uTrade, L&T, Lumenci, ProcDNA, Netmartz Infotech, Unthinkable Solutions Avg offers made: 5 (Some took 1-2, some took 10, Zs mass recruited 30 students) Highest Package: 19 lpa by AMEX (Analyst) Lowest: 4.5 lpa by Infosys (SDE trainee) 75% students getting their placements (expected)

College life ups and downs

Campus, events, curriculum, exam pattern

Dislikes

Markings scheme, some faculty member's behavior towards students

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good, if you score an average cgpa pf 7.5 , you can get a pretty good Placement, students become eligible for sitting in the placements in 3rd year, many major companies come to this college, but personally i might go for masters degree after this

Campus Life is good but campus is too small.

Dislikes

There is no too much coding atmosphere in our college and placement are also not good enough

Based on the branch, our course is well structured but there are some subjects which are irrelevant and not required for IT domain. Overall course structure is well defined in terms of our curriculum. Some subjects in IT is different from cse

Above average government college

Likes

Panjab University campus is well maintained and big
We can attend all the fests as UIET student.
There is no home state reservation and this quality of students is good

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old of UIET but it's decently maintained.
Classroom are also old without AC and smart board facilities
College is quite far from hostel and there is a hostel shortage.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is old and isn't industrial ready and thus students are also not industrial ready. I chose Electronics and communications cause Centra government is now focusing on semiconductor industries. And thus i choose ECE

There is too much diversity and exposure
Lots of good people are there your teacher friends and all
Extra activities are there like everything

Dislikes

Politics is too much over here in month of admission
Hostel problem is a nuisance for one not scored good
During election don't get involved to any party

I am a student of electronics and communication engineering and bring a first year the curriculum is decent enough not hard . If you do your best it will surely go on and don't know about second and third or fourth year .

Government College with decent placements and affordable fess

Girls to boys ratio is around 1:3.5 in ece branch
Infrastructure is old and can easily be improved.
Placement is decent but college doesn't interfere or help students for placement, it's only students of TnP who do the work

Dislikes

Hostels are old and not that maintained.
College canteen is small considering the no. Of students
Hostel is quite far from the college cause Panjab University is very big.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 4th year for placement. There were many companies which visited here like ZS Associates, American Express, Accenture, Mahindra Tech, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant and TCS etc. Average placement was 9.11 LPA for UIET in 2024 and highest was 44 LPA on campus. Well in ECE branch around 80% students get placed with average 10 LPA.
