I am fascinated by humanity. So I choose an honors course in History.
The faculty of my college is very good. Professors are highly qualified and student-friendly. They always help students in their studies.
The exams are semester based. Exams are held after every 6 months.
If someone attends every lecture, he or she will be surely passed.
I am interested in chemistry so I choose the Hons in this subject. The student and faculty ratio is 1:10 and the faculty are highly educated and pursuing Ph.D. degrees in different universities. They are very experienced and skillful in teaching this subject. There are six semesters and the questions are very hard. Those students have concepts clear in this subject. They easily passed the exam.
First of all, I wanted to study in any college at Calcutta University. Surendranath College is a government college and is only 10 minutes away from Sealdah station. According to Calcutta University rules, semester examinations are conducted every 6 months. The teachers of the department are very responsive to the students.
I was always fond of the language and subject of English. I had a great interest since childhood in this subject and wanted to learn more about it. this is why chose this course. My college had near about 5-6 faculties regarding the course. the number might be changed by now.
we had near about 70 students in our class including general and reserved students.
I chose this course because I was good at science and I love the subject. The faculty are highly qualified, and they are very helpful to us. Whenever we had any doubt, we asked them and they used to solve our queries.
I choose this course because I'm doing an animation course parallelly. You can say that I'm doing it for the sake of graduation.
We are a corona batch, our maximum classes were online. The faculty is good and helpful. I am not sure about the faculty: student ratio but I'm sure the student is 5X than the faculty or maybe even more.
The faculty is somewhat knowledgeable, But last it depends on the teacher how much he is putting effort into the class.
The Exams happen in 2 terms i.e. semester1 and 2. Our batch gave online exams till now so it was very easy for us.
There is hardly any placements being offered by our college. But last year few companies like Hotel Lindsay and Pnb visit the college for a campus where average placement was about 1 lac and highest of 7 lacs per annum. I want to become an Accounting professional after getting the degree.
Physics is my favorite subject so I chose this. Professors are highly qualified and 60% of them have doctorate degrees. The teacher-student ratio is approx 1: 4. Term exams are quite tough and it's quite difficult to pass.
I am fond of Mathematics and Mathematics is one of the best departments of this college. All teachers have good skill and the ability to teach. There is no term exam other than CU's own. Internal and all other exams according to the rule of Calcutta University are held with proper technique.
After the fifth semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Although very few companies come for a job offers and the average package is around 2 lacs per annum.15-20% of students get placement from such campuses.I plan to become a chartered accountant after getting the degree.
