Honest review of VSX

Likes

Good for communication to the office stuff
Teachers are very helpful and good to communicate
Location is good for students, which is near railway station and always metro station

Dislikes

Uncleaned classroom and also practical room
This is a government college but fees is too high for psychology and food nutrition dept
Teachers and students use the same washroom, canteen is uncleaned

Course is good. But the fees structure of my course is too high for a government college. 20-25k per year. Which is too high. We have our department in 3rd floor but don't have lift for us. Don't have departmental washroom and as well as classroom

Likes

The full commitment of the teaching staff and professional behaviour with supporting guidance is the main pillar for the rich education provided here.
The scheduling of the classes and the break up of the teaching is really nice.
The library provides a very soothing environment to read and the gym as well as the ground is there to cherish on your extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

The unhygienic washroom should be maintained more often and with proper procedures.
The fact to care about the mental health of a student should not be neglected
Provide more accurate methods and practical value education to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course, B.sc In Geography honours, is really value for time good. The course is a well balanced task oriented and in depth course. The field work activities built in depth interest in students

Glad to a student of Vidyasagar College

Likes

Great infrastructure is provided. Air-conditioned classrooms and well-maintained library.
Digital boards are available for better understanding.
The professors are highly qualified and helpful. They provide their assistance and guidance whenever needed.

Dislikes

The washrooms are not clean. Dustbin are not provided within the washroom for disposal of sanitary pads.
The placement and internship opportunity are not great.
Proper exams are not conducted. Exam on full syllabus are not taken before final university exams.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunity for our course is not so great. Most of the students opted for higher education like an M.sc and Ph.D. No internships are provided to the students of our college in this course. Many of our seniors have passed out of college without getting any job offers.

The college was very good study was going very well.
college campus life was the best, meeting friends on campus and talking to them.
all the members of community were supportive, whenever there was any problem they used to solve the problems very well

well behaved teachers and they all are enough educated to learn us
campus is too large for play . principal ma'am is behaving like as our mother do. Unions students are very co-operative for us they are very Frank with us

Everything you need to know about Vidyasagar college (specially Biochem)

Likes

The teachers are really helpful and friendly of our department( biochem)...they know when to be strict too and they make sure if we learn properly or not
Festivals and picnic areanged by department and union...you wont have a monotonous life
Affordable food in Canteen , Gym for both men and women , playground , cool seniors, extra courses for goverment jobs and computer

Dislikes

The minor classes are held rarely...cant get much information about studies...most of the time department is closed
At first I used to dislike our own teachers as they were really really strict towards us , and wanted us to be pitch perfect...but later realised it was for our own good...but the first month scared the hell out of me

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're interested in chemistry and biology both and you're confused what subject you should study...biochemistry is a good option for you. The teachers will make you the best for further higher studies even if you are not really good

MY THREE YEARS COLLEGE EXPERIENCES IN FEW WORDS

Likes

Teachers are so cooperative, helpfull and always aware for students
The day to day transport system is easy, Allmost all the colleges are belonging center of the Calcutta and nearby metro station
The main thing is the, education system and quality is so high and rich

Dislikes

There are no campus placement is done here
The college campuses is so, small and dirty
The end semester exam is quite difficult then universities

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my time it was 3years couse,recently it all the syllabus is upgraded, in 3years course there are total 6semesters in 6mounth gap(on paper) but we have to complete full syllabus on average 3.5to4 months

Friends conversation in classrooms so good
Sharing each other tiffin in tiffine time
They help me in study we conversation about study in library

Dislikes

Not so much classes that's why we don't have room to seat some times
Taking every attendance otherwise punishment
General subject teachers are not good enough

The faculty of our department is very helpful and cooperative.

Dislikes

The distance of college from my house is a little inconvenient for me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are 4 professors in our department. They are very friendly and cooperative. We have 15 students in our class. Term exams are usually 6 months apart. We also have practical exams and the apparatus are well maintaned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I want to pursue zoology study after this course. Faculties are really good and the ratio between faculty and students is 1:30. Faculties are highly educated from well known colleges. Term exams are also good.
