The course offers a supportive learning environment with a close faculty-student relationship due to limited seats. Exams are strictly supervised to ensure fairness, particularly during main semesters. Students across all branches have access to campus placements, with a focus on practical experience through internships and industry projects. The Training & Placement department provides guidance programs to boost employability. Mining students secure average packages of about 7 lakhs per annum, while Electronics and Electrical students average 3.5 lakhs.
Despite a decline in Computer Science placements, partnerships with companies like MAHAGENCO, SAIL, and TV Center facilitate valuable internships, some of which are free. The course spans 4 years over 8 semesters for regular students and 3 years over 6 semesters for diploma students, with an annual fee of approximately 95,000 INR. Scholarships are available according to government rules, with EWS students paying reduced fees of 60,000 INR per year, and SC/ST students receiving full fee concessions.
Other scholarships depend on caste certification eligibility. Fees may be paid in installments.
