NDMC Medical College offers comprehensive internship opportunities as part of its MBBS program, with a compulsory one-year clinical internship after the 4.5-year course. Interns receive a stipend of approximately Rs. 23,500 to Rs. 24,000 per month. The internship provides hands-on experience across various departments, including medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, and more, primarily at The Hindu Rao's Hospital. Post-graduation, students often secure placements in hospitals with starting salaries ranging from Rs.
1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh per month. While there is no traditional placement process as seen in engineering fields, nearly 100% of graduates find employment in hospitals. Many graduates also prepare for and attempt the NEET PG exam to pursue postgraduate medical education, with successful candidates earning higher salaries as junior residents or through further qualifications like DNB or USMLE.
