IP University Introduces New BMS Program with 60 Seats for Admission 2026

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has introduced a new four-year Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme starting from the 2026–27 academic session. This move comes in response to high market demand for management professionals. The university aims to provide students with a robust foundation in business administration and analytical skills, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The program will be hosted at the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Patparganj, which is a prominent affiliated institute of the university. This collaboration is expected to provide students with unique exposure to both management principles and the specialised packaging industry, which is projected to grow significantly by 2026.

Seat Matrix and Admission Criteria

For the inaugural batch, the university has sanctioned a total of 60 seats. Admissions will follow a tiered priority system. The primary channel for entry is the University-conducted Common Entrance Test (CET). If seats remain vacant after the CET counselling process, the university will then consider CUET UG scores as a secondary merit list to fill the remaining slots.

To be eligible for the BMS programme, candidates must have cleared their Class 12 (10+2) examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, it is mandatory for applicants to have passed English as a core, elective, or functional subject. The university's admission cycle originally opened on January 28, 2026, with the release of the official brochures.

GGSIPU Launched 24 New Courses

The launch of the BMS program is part of a larger expansion by IP University, which has introduced 24 new courses for this academic year. These include cutting-edge fields such as MTech in Robotics and AI, BSc in Clinical Psychology, and BTech in Industrial Chemistry.

With over 130 affiliated colleges, GGSIPU is offering more than 43,000 seats across various disciplines to cater to the growing student population in Delhi and beyond.
