CGEC: a hub for learning and growth

Likes

i like its environment because the college situated beside the river torsha.
its faculties are well trained and well experienced.
the campus area of the colleg is huge and we have 3 hostels

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curricullum as highly relevant and comprehensive . the curriculum is well structured and align perfectly with the industry requirment , covering all the necessary topics and skills .the course work upto date engaging , and challenging providing a thorough understanding of the subject matter.the inclusion of practical project and case studies adds an extra layer of depth.

Likes

Campus:- most beautiful part of the college
Faculty:- the faculty of ECE is very experienced and helpful.
Weather:- weather is the best here. Not too hot

Dislikes

Placement:- On campus placement is very bad.
Administrative Faculty: they ar not experienced or professional.
Principal:- The principal is not so good.

This is a Government Engineering College under West Bengal government. Tuition fees - 6000×8 ( for ece and cse) 3000×8 (for ce, me, ee) Exam fees - 1200×8 Scholarship - SVMCM ( yearly family income less than 2,50,000) - 60,000 per year.

Likes

The college location is beside the river torsha. Air is much fresh
No political or religious caused disrespectful works or ragging are done by students or teachers.

Dislikes

The placement opportunities in core engineering branches like civil are not as good as non-core branches like CSE and ECE
The college should include more emerging technologies in the curriculum to ensure graduates have better opportunities in evolving industries.
The exam pattern under MAKAUT is quite unpredictable, with difficulty in assuming the chapter weightage

Dislikes

High stress, heavy workload, expensive tuition, intense competition, and limited social life.
Some seniors are very bad. They ragging us
High pressure, demanding courses, financial burden, social isolation, and tough competition.

Placement Experience:

6th and 7th semester student are eligible for the campus placement. The name of the companies are visit l&t, Wipro, TCS, ect. They offered as average package of 7 LPA . Our college highest package is 42 LPA. In 2023 , 120 student are placed.

Likes

Faculty Members Are Very Helpful In Academic And Non Academic Purposes.
Club's Are Very Active In Their Fields Of Interest.
The Seniors Are Very Helpfull. They Help In Any Problems.

Dislikes

There is no hostel for male students. 4th year are only given hostel.
Connectivity from the main city is not proper.
Canteen is closed. So there is no food within the campus.you have to buy from outside.

Placement Experience:

No companies offered on-campus internship . We were asked to contact by ourselves for off campus internships. You have to work hard and build real world projects. Then apply for off campus internship. Campus placements starts from 7th semester. TCS, Wipro, Infosys and many others mass recruiter come for placement drive . Average is 4 LPA this year 60% students got placements. I am preparing for GATE exam.

College Review of COOCHBEHAR GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE

The campus is in a little bit of rural area but it is ar the bank of "TORSA" river so it is some kind of heavenly feeling for the river and nature lovers cuz they will enjoy the college life along with nature's touch.
The classrooms and library and seminar hall and the labs are fully clean. And they are totally hygienic.
The faculty members are so much helpful even the respected seniors are so much friendly and helpful.

Dislikes

The campus is in rural area and and little bit of small in size.
You cannot get the bookshop or any xerox shop nearby the campus you have to walk a bit to get them.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester the students are eligible to get campus placement. The companies like Wipro, TCS, L&T, ADANI, INFOSYS often visits and takes candidates. The highest package is 21lpa and avg package is 6.7 to 7 lpa. Overall 65% students get placed and 35% students prepare for the government exams like ssc je, ssc chsl, ssc cgl, GATE, RRB , UPSC etc. My plan is of doing government job after btech and besides I am preparing for GATE.

Likes

The college has big campus. More over a play group a canteen and many more to explore.
The college faculty is very good . The teachers the senior are very helpful.
The college placement is good . Average placement of this college is 4lpa, depending on students.

Dislikes

The college has gym but it’s not open at this time .
The college entrance gate to be clean . The gate is to old .

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all I didn't know about this but when I learned , the college faculties are also help me then I realized it's the best . Electronics and communication Engineering is the department where you learn everything software hardware, etc.

Likes

The college has a great environment for thw well-being of the students
The teachers are highly educated and they are experts in their own field
The faculty members are supportive and caring

Dislikes

The college has certain infrastructural lacking
They don't have any particular routine for the classes
The location of the college is not so appropriate for the students coming from other part of the state

Placement Experience:

The college has its own training and placement cell to look after the training and placement of the students. They are very cooperative and guide to students for the well-being of their career. They bring many companies from both IT and core field

Intellectual growth and exploration in life
College is a ragging free campus with strict rules

Dislikes

Classes are held irregularly,most of the days teachers are not present in the college
The college campus is not so tidy, the practical lab lacks proper equipment
Lack of suitable faculties, most of the classes are taken by the guest faculties from other institutions

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester students become eligible for campus placements TCS, Infosys, visited college Highest placement is 48 lpa and average is 6 lpa 60 % students got placed this year 8 will peruse MTech from Gate exam

Likes

Ragging free campus. With proper guidance and strict rules
Scenic beauty is very nice. It is situated at the banks of Torsa river
Environment is very good. We get a very competitive and helping Environment to grow our self
