IISER Bhopal Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The natural sciences department don't have a placement cell but there happened some placements from the chemistry department in the past. Here, people plan to do PhD in preferably foreign institutions, and this is where IISER Bhopal helps. It has a lot of campus tie ups around the globe which can give a headstart when you're searching for PhDs. Besides our BS engineering and BS economics departments do have a placement cell but they're very new so we don't have an average data.

We have a special department to take care of the placement. The same department helps you to find internships. Though, most students don't opt for placements after the MS degree. Most of the peeps here opt for a PhD from prestigious institutions.

Around 80% of students get placement while the others pursue research as their career and don't at all sir for interviews in order to pursue odD and further studies mostly from abroad. Economic science is a new branch. It's expected that the amount of placement in economic and engineering sciences will be much higher than those of natural sciences as people from economics and engineering sciences want to pursue a job after the completion of BS or BS-MS. I want to work as an HR Or manager in a fashion brand after the completion of my degree or else I would like to pursue an MBA from any prestigious institution.

After the 4th year one can sit for placement i.e after achieving BS degree. Major recruiters are companies of Pharma, Chemical, and biotech in their R&D. Students who passed out in 2018 recorded 87% placement rate which I feel is pretty good and now with the introduction of new courses like Data structure, more companies will be willing to conduct placement. There is no exact record of the highest and lowest salary but the average package is 7-8 LPA. My plans after getting the BS degree is either to stay one more year and complete MS from IISER Bhopal itself or prepare for GATE and do MS from other top institute or abroad.

Only the final-year students are eligible for campus selection. Since most of the students opt to go for higher studies the percentage selection is low. The faculty encourage students for higher studies by providing ample information. Companies from India and a few from outside India come for recruitment. Few companies include Unilever, Avanti Learning, Excel Instruments, Nuclear Informatics, and Euclidata recruit the students from IISER Bhopal. I am planning to work for 1 year and then go for higher studies.

Great infrastructure, higher education opportunity, NIRF rank 26th. overall the university is great.Personally I am into physics and other sciences so I have decided to take this course in BS-MS dual degree.

Research field inspires me a lot, and IISER promotes research in various aspects. Apart from being an Institute of national importance, it promotes students to push their limits of dedicated time for studying. (P.S :- You need to work hard everyday to survive here, more syllabus than IIT's)

It is a well-recognized National Level University. Good Alumini reach. Well-known for research. Distinguished Faculty. Good infrastructure. Offers a major-minor system. One of the few colleges in India to provide a graduation program in Data Science.

I always wanted to be the scientist and IISER is the best platform which promotes my dream. Also the facilites here is one of the best facilities in the country. Also the teachers here are ready to help anytime.

Toppr company visited last year. The placement cell in the institution is still developing so last year 50 students were placed in different company's, also some students are placed for teaching in different institutions. Startup cell is also developing in the Institute.
