Nothing as such. It’s a wholesome rich experience of the development sector
Placement Experience:
From term 6 onwards you're eligible for placements. People are placed basis their area of interest and past experience. Almost 90% of students get placed on campus including freshers and experienced people. The highest package is 10 Lpa in the current batch. Also, freshers are placed between 6-7 Lpa.
Humanistic learning approach. Empathy and compassion driven coaching
Perfect blend of Development and Management
The unimaginable profiles of professionals who appear as our faculties
Placement Experience:
About 100 organisations come for campus placement opportunities. Salary ranges from 4.5 lakhs to even 9/10 lakhs. Depending on the experience and expertise, a wide range of both management and on ground roles are provided.
A balanced campus life. A perfect blend of the academic and leisure time
Helpful and understanding faculty, staff and bricoleurs
Rural immersion to different districts to gain experential knowledge and on-ground experience
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum design of PGP-DM is a perfect blend of the foundational theoretical knowledge as well as the management courses required to work in the development sector. The pedagogy is something that stood out for me as it does not follow the traditional educational and evaluation pattern. You gain much-needed experiential knowledge as you get to apply your learning and take away key insights from the community through the rural field immersion. The evaluation patterns are completely based on your learning of the different courses and your experience through the different terms
diversity and the curriculum here is something which I don't think you will get anywhere else.
Placement Experience:
The placements record is really good here. They are majorly student-centric and students can tell their interest area or dream organization with whom they want to work with. The highest package till now is 16lpa otherwise average is 6.5 lpa. I myself have got placed and the overall process is really good.
The space is very inclusive, diverse, liberal and visionary.
The curriculum is very unique and focuses on personal transformation along with professional skills.
The faculty portfolio is huge and we get to learn from and engage with specialists from respective field.
Dislikes
The course can be a bit longer to study subjects more comprehesively.
We can have a residential program which leaves a scope to engage more.
We can have makeup courses for certain subject to enable a level-playing field for diverse backgrounds of students.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is a blend of Development and management theories which I thought is the need of the hour for the development sector to grow. The diversity in the curriculum, faculty, courses, and students attracted me to explore a space like this. The most significant aspect of the course is the teaching pedagogy which I student-centric and encourages collaboration rather than competition.
A few courses in the curriculum could be better structured.
Placement Experience:
We have a lot of wonderful organizations that come for placements who work in different sectors. The highest offer is around 12lacs and the minimum is 4lacs. Almost all of the students get placed in really good positions.
I wanted to enhance my skills and knowledge about the social development sector to deepen my understanding and learn management tools and frameworks relevant to the sector. All the faculties are highly qualified with diverse backgrounds
