Goa Board HSSC Exam Pattern 2023 will be the same as the previous year. Board will be conducting the GBSHSE exams for the 12th-class students in two terms this year as well. As per the GBSHSE exam patterns, the practical exams for core subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Geography, and other subjects will be of 30 marks, while the theory paper will carry 70 marks.

Goa Board HSSC Exam Pattern 2022-23
Like the previous session, Goa Board will conduct the class 12 exams in two terms. Board officials have stated that it will be following the exam pattern of the previous year.
- The syllabus in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for Class XII is curtailed following the pattern of CBSE in context to the syllabus reduction.
- The question papers in the subjects that have practical section i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Geology, Geography and Banking will be of 70 marks instead of 55 marks w.e.f. March 2023 HSSC Examination.
- The question paper for every subject is divided into four sections-Section A(objective type), Section B (very short answer type questions), Section C (short answer type questions) and Section D (long answer type questions)
- The pattern of the questions and marking scheme is the same for all the subjects of all the streams, i.e., Science, Commerce and Arts.

Goa Board HSSC Marking Scheme 2022-23
It is mandatory for the students to score at least 33 marks out of 100 marks in each subject in order to pass the Goa Board Examinations. The aggregate marks scored by the candidates should also be at least 33%. In class 12 the candidates are required to secure 33% marks individually in the practical and written examinations. In the written exam of 80 marks, a candidate is required to score not less than 27 marks and in practical, not less than 7 marks in order to pass the examination. The divisional bifurcation in the Goa Board exam is stated below:
- 1st division is secured by the students who achieve 300 or more marks in total.
- Students who secured marks between 225 and 300 are awarded second division.
- 3rd division is awarded to the students who secure marks between 150-225.
- Students achieving marks less than 150 shall be declared as failed.

Students must read carefully the revised syllabus and exam pattern as it will be a new concept. The syllabus of the paper can be downloaded from the official website of the Board. Some of the preparation tips that can help students to prepare for the exams in a better way are given below:
- Time Management: Check the syllabus of the board examinations from the official website of the Board before starting the preparation of the Board examination. Also, Prepare a proper time table before starting the preparation divided equal time to all the topics to be covered.
- Prepare micro notes for the revision part: This is necessary in order to ensure that nothing is left out before you appear for the actual examination. Revising what you learn that will help you to remember concepts better. Watch videos online or practice quizzes to understand the concepts better.

The second part is of less weightage and so it can be assumed that the second part will be omitted.
