96 DU Students have completed the Summer Internship under the DU Vice-chancellor Internship Scheme between June 10 - August 09. 10 students were also awarded as the best performers.

DU Students have completed the Summer Internship

New Delhi: A total of 96 students from various departments of the Delhi University have completed their summer internship under the “DU Vice-chancellor Internship Scheme”. They received a stipend of INR 10,000. DU Vice Chancellor, Yogesh Singh, also awarded 10 of the students with the best performance award. 

Several students from the second, third and final year of their courses applied for the summer internship under the Vice Chancellor Internship Scheme (VCIS). The valedictory function was conducted at the Delhi University council hall. The induction for the interns was conducted on June 09 and the summer internship was ongoing till August 10, 2023.

The selected students interned in different branches and affiliated colleges of DU. The Summer Internship selection process consisted of 2 rounds. Candidates had to first sit for an MCQ based test as the preliminary round followed by a GD/PI. Students were selected based on their SGPA, MCQ, and GD scores. Initially, 7000 applications were received for the summer internship, out of which 605 were shortlisted for the GD round. However, only 100 were finally selected.

The internship scheme has been launched for the first time at Delhi University in the last academic session. While this year only 96 students interned, last year a total of 106 students interned.
