The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad will announce the M.Des Final Result tentatively by the end of April 2026. Shortlisted candidates must confirm their Round 1 seat allotment by May 7, 2026 (till midnight) through online payment and document submission.

Candidates can view their results by logging into the admissions portal using their credentials. The seat confirmation process involves three critical steps: token payment, document upload, and verification.

NID's M.Des admission process involves merit-based seat allotment in Round 1, followed by document verification and provisional offer letters. Candidates who fail to complete payment and document upload by the May 7 deadline will have their provisional seat allocation cancelled.

If a candidate applied in two disciplines and gets shortlisted in both, they will receive a seat in their first preference only. The seat in the second preference will be offered to the next eligible candidate in merit order.

Payment must be completed online through the admissions portal by May 7, 2026 (till midnight). Failure to pay by the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of the provisional seat allocation.

NID Admission 2026 Document Needed

Candidates must upload scanned colour copies of specific documents as separate PDF files (maximum 2 MB each). Required documents include valid photo identity, semester-wise marksheets or consolidated transcripts, birth certificate or school leaving certificate, 10th and 12th marksheets, and graduation degree certificate.

For candidates awaiting final results, a self-undertaking signed by the candidate and parents, along with a university certificate, must be submitted. All documents must be uploaded by May 7, 2026 (till midnight).

NID Admission 2026 Verification Process

NID will verify all uploaded documents against information provided in the original application form. If documents are found to be incomplete, incorrect, or invalid, the candidate's admission will be cancelled. In such cases, 50% of the paid token amount will be refunded to the candidate. Candidates can review and modify their uploaded documents until May 7, 2026 (till midnight).

After successful document verification, NID will issue Provisional Offer-Letters of Admission to eligible candidates.

Round 2 seat allotment will be communicated to next eligible candidates via their registered email IDs. Candidates whose final degree results are pending must submit them by July 31, 2026, or face admission cancellation.
