Arts Discipline saw the highest number of graduates in the academic year 2021-22, according to the AISHE report. The 12th edition of the AISHE for 2021-22 revealed a total of 1.07 crore pass-outs, a notable increase from 95.4 lakh in 2020-21.
New Delhi: The 12th edition of the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) for 2021-22, conducted by the Union Education Ministry, revealed a total of 1.07 crore pass-outs, a notable increase from 95.4 lakh in 2020-21. The Arts Discipline saw the highest number of graduates in the academic year 2021-22, according to the AISHE report.
Breaking down the undergraduate level, BA courses led with 24.16 lakh graduates, followed by the Science discipline with 11.97 lakh graduates. Among BA graduates, 54% were females, while in the Science discipline, 53.8% were female students.
Moving to the post-graduate level, Social Science had the highest out-turn with 3.87 lakh graduates, and 58.5% of them were female students. Science came next with 2.61 lakh graduates, and 62.6% were female students. At the Ph.D. level, Science had the highest out-turn with 7,408 graduates, followed by Engineering & Technology with 6,270.
