Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) is inviting applications for admission to its PhD programs 2024. Candidates can apply through the university’s Samarth Portal till December 30, 2024. However, registrations are allowed till January 6, 2025 with an additional late fee of INR 1000.

BBAU PhD Documents Required

Candidates selected for counselling at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University are required to submit self-attested copies/originals of the following documents:

Mark Sheet/Grade Sheet of the qualifying degree course (self-attested).
Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last attended (in original).
Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended.
SC/ST/PWD/Kashmiri Migrant/NRI Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (self-attested).

BBAU PhD Selection Criteria

The basis of the final shortlisting of candidates for admission will be on the merit of marks obtained in the entrance test (70% weightage), and Interview (30%) put together. The DRC may hold the interview in hybrid mode to complete the admissions at the earliest. The Interview component (30 marks) will comprise of:

Weightage for Academics – 05 Marks

Bachelor's degree (% of Marks obtained in UG X 2/100)
Master's degree (% of Marks obtained in PG X 3/100)
04 Year Bachelor's degree Honours with Research (% of Marks obtained in 4 Year UG X 5/100)

Weightage for Fellowship – 10 Marks

JRF/Any other National level Fellowship – 10 marks, or
M.Phil. +NET-7 marks, or
M.Phil./NET-5 marks

Weightage for Research Proposal – 5 Marks

Weightage for Personal Interaction – 10 Marks
