BRAOU B.Ed and B.Ed Special Education Entrance Test 2024 Schedule Out; Register by December 21

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad, has announced the entrance test schedule for B.Ed and B.Ed Special Education programmes for 2024. Interested candidates have to register online on the website portal.

BRAOU B.Ed/B.Ed Special Education Entrance Test 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
• Candidates must submit the marks memo and passing certificate of qualifying examination at the time of Admission Counselling.
• Candidates should have completed 21 years as of 1st July 2024. No upper age limit.

B.Ed Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed with at least 50% of marks either in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./B.Sc. (Home Science)/ BBM or the Masters Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/Humanities/Sciences (relevant subject of Methodology).
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in B.E/B.Tech. with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent for admission into the B.Ed. ODL programme.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Apart from the above, candidates must fulfill the following conditions as per NCTE-2021 Regulations
  • Should be Trained in-service teachers in elementary Education. (NCTE recognized Teacher training completed in-service Teachers in elementary education i.e. working in Govt/Aided/ MPP/ZPP/Govt. Recognized schools)
  • Should have completed NCTE recognized Teacher Education programme through face-to-face mode (TTC/D.Ed./D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed./TPT/HPT/UPT/B.P.Ed./D.P.Ed.)

B.Ed Special Education Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./ B.Sc. Home Science/ BBM) or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce (relevant subject of Methodology)
• B.E/B.Tech. with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 50 %marks or any other qualification equivalent
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Weightage will be given to the candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions:
  • Parent of a child with disability
  • Possession of any RCI-approved diploma/degree.

Candidates have to pay the registration fee of INR 1000 and INR 750 for SC/ST/PH category.

BRAOU B.Ed (General/ Special Education) Entrance Test will be conducted in any of the following centres: Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar.

B.Ed (Recognised by NCTE) programme will be in Telugu medium with duration of 2 years. B.Ed Special Education (Recognised by RCI) programme will be in both Telugu and English medium with duration of 2.5 years.
