ICAI has revised the CA Final exam frequency from May 2026 onwards, with exams now to be held twice a year. The CA Final May 2026 exam dates have also been announced.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced a major change in the examination schedule for Chartered Accountancy Final exams. As per the latest official notification, CA Final examinations will now be conducted twice a year instead of three times, starting from May 2026.

The decision has been taken after considering feedback from stakeholders. According to ICAI, “CA Final Examinations shall be conducted twice a year in May and November with effect from May 2026 Chartered Accountants Examination and onwards.”

Previously, CA Final exams were held three times a year - in January, May, and September. With the revised schedule, candidates will now have only two attempts annually, aligning the exam cycle more systematically.

CA Final May 2026 Exam Dates

ICAI has also announced the examination dates for the May 2026 session. The exams will be conducted in two groups.

Candidates are advised to plan their preparation strategy accordingly, considering the reduced number of attempts per year.
