CA Intermediate May 2026 Exam Rescheduled: ICAI to Begin Exams From May 5

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has rescheduled the CA Intermediate May 2026 examinations, shifting the commencement date from May 3 to May 5, 2026, due to unavoidable reasons.

The announcement was issued on April 6, 2026, as a partial modification of its earlier notification dated December 12, 2025.

As per the revised schedule, the examinations will continue to be conducted at the same time slot of 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) across India and international centres. The Institute has clarified that there is no change in the schedule of other exams, including Foundation, Final, and PQC (INTT-AT).

CA Intermediate May 2026 Revised Exam Schedule

The decision impacts thousands of candidates preparing for the Intermediate level, offering them two additional days for revision before the exams begin.

Students are advised to regularly check the official ICAI website for further updates and ensure that their preparation strategy aligns with the revised timeline. With the exam window slightly shifted, candidates can utilise the extra time to strengthen weak areas and revise thoroughly.
