Girls have outperformed boys in the 2026 exams, with girls' pass percentage at 95 percent compared to boys' 92.63 percent. The CBSE has released detailed statistics including region-wise pass percentage, performance across Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV), Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV), and independent schools. Data on Children With Special Needs (CWSN) performance and students scoring above 90 percent and 95 percent has also been provided.

Students who fail in one or more subjects are placed in the compartment category and can appear for compartment exams to improve their scores. The CBSE will announce the compartment exam schedule on cbse.gov.in within 4-6 weeks. Students not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-evaluation within the window announced on the official website, typically taking 2-3 weeks.

Education experts recommend that students remain calm during result checking, as website traffic may cause temporary delays. Students should verify results on multiple official portals and maintain copies for college admissions. Parents and guardians should guide students toward appropriate career paths based on their scores, considering stream selection, college reputation, and future employment prospects.

After the result declaration, students will proceed with Class 11 admissions based on merit-based selection criteria. Students placed in compartments should focus on preparing for compartment exams to improve their scores. CBSE will announce re-evaluation and compartment exam schedules on cbse.gov.in, allowing students to plan their next steps accordingly.
