CBSE Establishes Regional Office and Centre of Excellence in Dubai

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has established its new Regional Office and Centre of Excellence in Dubai after approval from the Ministry of Education. The CBSE Dubai office will operate from the academic session 2024-25.

The CBSE Centre of Excellence will initiate training activities after the operationalisation of the regional office. As per the announcement, all foreign schools affiliated with the CBSE board will fall under the jurisdiction of the regional office in Dubai.

According to the official notice released by CBSE, "Following the approval of the affiliation committee on 9.05.2023, ratification by the governing body on 14.06.2023, and subsequent approval by the controlling authority of the board, i.e., secretary (SEandL), Ministry of Education, Govt of India, a new regional office and centre of excellence (CoE) is being established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates."

The official notice also clarified, "Starting from the academic session 2024-25, the jurisdiction of the regional office, Delhi (east), will remain unchanged, except for foreign schools”. Last year, the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced the idea of setting up a CBSE office in Dubai after meeting HE Sara Musallam, MoS for early education and chairperson of ADEK, in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, the CBSE Board Exams 2024 Classes 10 and 12 have commenced, scheduled to conclude on April 2, 2024. The students must have their CBSE admit card 2024 for an identification process at their allotted exam centers.
