The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools will now double their examination centre for class 12 students. However, the board has not given any directives about the examination centre for private students.

While the board has also included private students for a change in examination centres, those who do not want their examination centre shifted to a different district are baffled.

Sashank Verma, a class 12 student from the CBSE board, says, "My friends and I are private students. We are confused about whether we will be going to the examination centre that was allotted earlier or would it change for us just like the regular students.”

The schools which have been assigned to hold the board examination for the first time are just as perplexed. “Board has given internal instructions to the concerned authorities about the exam centres. There are no separate instructions for private students,” said Jaydeb Kar, a CBSE helpline counsellor.

The board has given instructions pertaining to the change in examination centres.
