New Delhi: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has issued revised instructions for candidates participating in the CLAT Exam 2024 on December 3, 2023. The guidelines have been released for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)/ Specially Abled Persons (“SAPS”) with less than 40 percent disability

As per the updated CLAT Exam Day Guidelines 2024, the candidates who wish for a scribe or reader assistance must notify the Consortium of NLUs by uploading the necessary document(s) to their applicant portal.

Until this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, PwDs/SAPs were required to organize their personal scribe and cover associated costs. However, starting this year, the Consortium provides the option to request a scribe or a reader.

According to the official CLAT Notification 2024, candidates opting for the Consortium's arranged scribe had to indicate this in their applicant portal by November 26, until 3 PM. It is also important for these candidates to upload Annexure I by 12:00 pm on November 28, 2023. Moreover, candidates organizing their own scribe must upload Appendix II and III by 12:00 PM on November 28.
