CLAT Counselling 2024 Dates Released; Registrations Start From Dec 11

New Delhi: The Consortium of NLUs has released the dates for CLAT Counselling 2024 on the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in. According to the schedule released, the registration process for CLAT Counselling begins from December 11 and shall be open till December 20, 2023. 

CLAT 2024 Exam was conducted on December 3, 2023 for admission to five-year integrated UG and PG programmes at the 22 participating NLU campuses. CLAT 2024 Result was released on December 10, 2023. Candidates who have successfully qualifed CLAT exam will receive an invite on their registered email id or phone number to participate in the admission counselling process. There are approximately 300 seats to be filled up through CLAT 2024 Counselling. 

What are the Important Dates for CLAT Counselling 2024?

“If a candidate has chosen a float or freeze option, and then subsequently chooses to Exit or fails to complete their admission at the chosen NLU by paying their fees then their Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded in full if the Exit option is exercised before 1:00 P.M. on May 23, 2024, or after a deduction of Rs 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) if exercised after 1:00 PM on May 23, 2024,” the consortium said.

Candidates can register for CLAT Counselling 2024 by following the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of CLAT

Step 2: Enter mobile number and password.

Step 3: Click on Login.

Step 4: Check the seat allotment result.

What is the Registration Fee for CLAT Counselling 2024?

The registration fees for CLAT Counselling 2024 is:

• INR 30,000 for General Category Students
• INR 20,000 for SC/ST/OBC/BC/EWS/PwD students

 There shall be no refund of the counselling fee after the last date of withdrawal from the admission process.

What is the Counselling Process for CLAT 2024?

Each candidate who has been allotted a seat at any NLU will get three options of ‘Freeze’, ‘Float’, or ‘Exit’ to choose from during the Counselling session:

• Freeze option: If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, accepts it, and is not interested in participating in further rounds of seat allocation/ counselling, they may ‘Freeze’ the seat allocation.
• Float option: If the candidate has not been allotted their first preference NLU and chooses to leave ‘open’ the possibility of getting a higher preference NLU seat they may choose the ‘Float’ Option. 
• Exit option: If at any time after completing the Registration Process, a candidate does not want to participate any further in the Counselling Process, they may choose to ‘Exit’ the Admissions Counselling Process. If a candidate has chosen a Float or Freeze Option prior to the Exit option, the seat allocated to them will be reallocated and the Confirmation Fee will be forfeited. No candidate will be allotted a seat after choosing the Exit option.
