Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy has signed an MoU with Datanetiix Solutions India Private Limited to establish a center for innovation and excellence in wearable devices.

New Delhi: In a significant stride towards fostering innovation and strengthening ties between academia and industry, the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT-Trichy), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Datanetiix Solutions.

The MoU signing ceremony, held at the NIT-Trichy campus, witnessed the convergence of distinguished personalities from both institutions. The MoU aims to focus on specific development areas for both organizations.

It involves BTech, MTech, and Ph.D. students in project work at Datanetiix for a specified period, It also emphasized innovation and entrepreneurship, the creation of suitable platforms for sharing industry practices as part of the curriculum.

According to Bala Sriraghavan, the founder and CEO, of Datanetiix Solutions, the main purpose of this initiative is to tap the potential of the students in solving real-time problems in wearable devices that are used as smart devices as well as medical monitoring units.

For NIT-Trichy, collaborating with Datanetiix Solutions will offer students an appropriate platform to work on industry-related projects resulting in skill development and knowledge sharing.

NIT director G Aghila said that “ the industrial inputs towards product development would definitely help the students to go to greater heights”.

The signing of the MoU between NIT-Trichy and Datanetiix Solutions represents a significant step towards fostering stronger ties between academia and industry.
