DU SOL Admission 2024 to Short Term Courses Open

New Delhi: Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL) is inviting applications from interested students for admission to its short term courses for the academic session 2024-25. Interested candidates can apply through the official website sol.du.ac.in till March 15, 2024

The courses will be delivered by the Centre for Innovative Skill-Based Courses (CISBC). The CISBC offers a total of 30 short term courses like cnglish Proficiency, GST Executive, Cyber Security, Tax Assessment, Motor Driving, Medical Transcription, Radio Jockeying, Bakery and Confectionery, A/C and Refrigerator Repair, Beauty and Hair Make-Up. 

Prof. Payal Mago, Director of SOL, emphasized the transformative potential of these skill-based courses, stating, "CISBC courses are designed to enhance employability by providing practical, job-oriented skills that align with current industry demands."

What are DU SOL Short Term courses?

DU SOL rolls out short term courses with a duration ranging to a maximum of 6 months. The courses are delivered in online mode and is meticulously crafted to impart skills that directly translate to the workplace, ensuring that learners are equipped with the tools needed to succeed in their chosen fields.

Certificates for these courses will be jointly recognised by Delhi University and national/international organisations, which will further enrich the curriculum vitae of the students.

What are the Key Highlights of the Courses?

  • Registrations open from February 15 to March 15, 2024
  • Commencement of courses from April 2, 2024
  • ⁠Registrations in these courses are open for all, including University of Delhi students.
  • Admissions on first cum first serve basis (as per the number of seats in each course).
  • For Courses having fees above Rs. 1000/- on completion of the Batch Size of 40-50 students 10% supernumerary seats shall be given to the Economically Weaker Section on subsidized rates (available after screening of the candidates).

What is the Admission Procedure, Eligibility Criteria for DU SOL Short Term Courses?

The admission to the short term courses by CISBC is on first come first serve basis. There are limited seats available for each courses and candidates to enroll earlier will get admission. You need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the courses for admission. Though mostly for graduates, you must check the detailed eligibility criteria for each course before applying.
