ICAI CA 2024 Exams Dates Postponed; Revised Timetable to be Released on March 19

New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) has rescheduled the ICAI CA Intermediate and Final exams 2024, initially set for May, with the updated timetable to be released on March 19, 2024. This decision comes amidst preparations to avoid overlap with the Lok Sabha general elections 2024.

The revised schedule for the May 2024 CA Examinations will be available on www.icai.org on the evening of March 19, 2024. Students are requested to stay informed through official channels and to bear with the institute during this adjustment period.

Initially, the CA Exams were planned for May 3 to 13, 2024, and the CA Final Exams for Groups 1 and 2 for May 2 to 12, 2024. However, the ICAI had hinted at potential date changes to prevent conflicts with the upcoming general elections.

Today, the Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the general elections 2024, which will take place from April 19, 2024, to June 1, 2024, across seven phases. This decision encompasses 543 constituencies, with the counting scheduled for June 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, registration for the ICAI CA May exams has closed. Registered candidates can expect to receive their admit cards through the official website, eservices.icai.org.

In related news, the ICAI has announced plans to conduct the Chartered Accountants (CA) Foundation and Intermediate exams three times a year, a departure from previous practices. Detailed notifications regarding this change will be published on the official website soon. Students are advised to stay updated with official announcements for further guidance.
