Council for the Certificate of Indian School Examinations(CISCE) will share the internal marking option from today i.e. June 22, 2020 onwards.

The decision was made in accordance with the order of the Bombay High Court in which the court asked the board to present the alternative grading system for the students who do not choose to appear for the pending board exam.

The board examinations were postponed by the board due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed in the country. The board now plans to conduct the remaining class 10 examinations in July, 2020.

The board has also extended the last date for candidates to choose between appearing for the exams or get the results based on the pre-boards. The last date for students to make a choice is June 24, 2020.

The ICSE Board examinations are scheduled to be conducted in July 2020. The examinations are scheduled to be conducted from July 1, 2020, for the class 12 students while the class 10 examinations are to begin from July 2, 2020.

On June 15, 2020, an official notification about the same was published on the official website, where students were given the option of either appearing for the exams or getting the results based on the pre-boards.

However, the board students complained that the board forced the students to appear for the remaining exams.

The Bombay High Court on 18 June 2020 directed the ICSE board to come up with an alternative plan to grade the students.

The court stated that the board has to specify the methodology for approval and once approved all the students and parents will be able to make a decision on the board examination.
