New Delhi: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released guidelines for examinees participating in the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) 2023 examination. 

Aspiring candidates need to adhere to the important CSEET instructions highlighted by the examination authority, ICSI. The notification is now accessible on the official ICSI website @icsi.edu, furnishes significant particulars about the CSEET November 2023 session exams, conducted through remote proctored mode.

Candidates who have registered for the CSEET 2023 exam are required to follow through the important instructions announced by the exam authority.

CSEET 2023: Important Exam Day Guidelines

Examinees must utilize the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) or SEBLite browsers on their desktops or laptops to initiate the CSEET. Without the SEB, candidates won't be able to launch the exam.

To start the CSEET 2023 test, candidates need to log in to the Test portal at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Candidates won't be allowed to join the test if 15 minutes have elapsed after its initiation. Moreover, they must conclude the test within the allocated 90-minute duration from the start time.

Candidates are obliged to fulfill the following essential requirements for the CSEET 2023:

  • Install SEBLite appropriately on a Desktop/Laptop that fulfills the required technical criteria.
  • Ensure a reliable internet connection, avoiding hotspots or mobile networks.
  • Utilize a fully charged laptop or a desktop with power backup.
  • Adhere diligently to all examination instructions.
  • Participate in the Mock Test and maintain SEBLite installed until the completion of the CSEET.

To qualify, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. i) Obtain a minimum of 40% marks in each paper (Paper-1, Paper-2, Paper-3, and Paper-4 separately).
  2. ii) Achieve a total of 50% marks across all papers to pass the CSEET.

iii) No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

During the examination, candidates are prohibited from using electronic devices such as mobile phones, earphones, headphones, or any other gadgets, including pagers, digital diaries, calculators, Bluetooth devices, palmtops, smartwatches, and health bands. Using reference books or any writing materials like paper, pen/pencil, writing pads, notebooks, etc., is also not allowed. 

During the examination, candidates are prohibited from having anyone else in the room, taking photographs of the screen or any test materials, reading questions or answers aloud, leaving the workstation without test submission, or diverting their attention away from the screen.
