IIM Kashipur PhD & Executive PhD Admission Begins for Session 2026; Apply Till February 28

The IIM Kashipur has opened applications for its PhD and Executive PhD Programme for the academic batch 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online application forms on or before February 28, 2026, through the official website.

The PhD programme is offered across multiple specialisations, including Business Communication, Economics, Finance and Accounting, Information Technology and Systems, Marketing, Operations Management and Decision Sciences, Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, Public Policy, and Strategy.

IIM Kashipur PhD/Ex. PhD Admission 2026 – Application Process

The IIM Kashipur PhD selection process is based on academic eligibility and qualifying test scores. Applicants must possess a master’s degree or equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks, or a four-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks.

For the Executive PhD programme, Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD). In addition, applicants are required to have a minimum of five years of relevant full-time work experience.

Stage 1: Application Submission

Applicants can apply for a maximum of two specialisation areas. All required academic details and valid qualifying test scores must be uploaded at the time of application.

Stage 2: Shortlisting of Candidates

Applications are screened based on academic eligibility, qualifying test scores (CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC-JRF/IIMB Test) and additional criteria set by the respective academic area. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be shortlisted for the next round.

Minimum Qualifying Scores for Admission

Stage 3: Personal Interview (PI)

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview. Applicants will receive research papers related to their chosen specialisation and must select one paper for discussion during the interview. The panel will assess academic ability, research orientation and subject knowledge.

Stage 4: Final Selection

Final selection is based on interview performance, academic background and alignment with the chosen research area. Area-wise merit lists will be prepared, and provisional admission offers will be issued to selected candidates.

Stage 5: Admission Confirmation

Selected candidates must complete document verification and fulfil eligibility conditions within the stipulated timeline to confirm their admission.
