JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Exam Dates Rescheduled to April 4, Check New Dates Here

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has modified the exam dates for the second session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024. Initially scheduled to commence on April 1, 2024 the second session will now start on April 4, 2024 and conclude on April 15, 2024.

The registration process for the upcoming session is already underway, and eligible candidates can apply on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The official notice emphasises that candidates who haven't previously applied must submit fresh applications according to the provided schedule.

JEE Mains 2024 Session 2 Exam Dates

For those who applied and paid the examination fee for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 1 and intend to appear for Session 2, the notice instructs them to log in with their previous Application Number and Password. They can then select the Paper, Medium of the Examination, State code of Eligibility, Cities for Session 2, input educational qualification details, and pay the Examination Fees.

Meanwhile, the first session of JEE Main 2024 concluded on February 1, with NTA conducting the exam in approximately 544 centres across 291 cities, including 21 international cities. The number of registered candidates for the first session reached around 12,31,874, marking a 27% increase compared to the previous year. 

The number of cities and centres for the examination also witnessed an expansion. Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech.) attendance across the country was 95.8%, marking one of the highest attendance percentages for JEE (Main) since NTA began conducting the examination.

Steps to Apply for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Exam

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exam:

Step 1: Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Select the JEE Main 2024 session 2 registration link from the homepage.

Step 3: Fill out the registration form by entering the required details and click the Submit button.

Step 4: Pay the application fees.

Step 5: Download the registration form and take a printout for further use.

Documents Required for Applying for JEE Main 2024 Session 2

Candidates must carry the below-mentioned documents while applying for the JEE Main 2024 session 2:

• Recent passport-sized scanned photo on hand.
• Scanned copy of Class 10 and 12 certificates
• Scanned signature 
• Along with a scanned copy of your Aadhaar card, you also need its number.
• DigiLocker Account, or
• Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID), or
• Passport Number, or
• PAN Card, or
• Aadhaar Enrolment Number, or
• Non-Indian Passport Number.
