As per the updated schedule, the first session is set to be held between January 21 and 29, 2026, and the next session will be held between April 2 and 9, 2026.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a change in the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam schedule. As per the updated schedule, the first session is set to be held between January 21 and 29, 2026.

According to the revised schedule, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech). The examination will be held in two shifts each day. The first shift will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, while the second shift will be conducted from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
For architecture and planning aspirants, Paper 2A (B.Arch), Paper 2B (B.Planning), and the combined Paper 2A & 2B examinations will be held on January 29, 2026. These papers will be conducted in a single shift, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
The NTA has also released the Allotment of Examination City for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. To access the city slip, candidates will be required to enter their application number along with their password, date of birth and the security pin displayed on the screen.

As mentioned in the official information bulletin, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards are likely to be released by the second week of January 2026. The JEE Main Admit Card includes the exam date, shift timings, reporting time, centre address, and candidate details.
