The NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 final answer key after reviewing all submitted challenges, which will form the basis for result calculation and merit list preparation.

The NTA will release the Provisional Answer Keys for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) on April 11, 2026, at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will simultaneously receive access to their recorded response sheets on the official portal. The answer key challenge window will open on the same date, allowing students to raise objections against provisional answers. Candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question to submit challenges through the online mechanism.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 provisional answer key release addresses the need for transparency and fairness in the evaluation process for over 11.23 lakh candidates who appeared for Session 2. This mechanism allows students to verify their responses against official answers and challenge any discrepancies they identify.
The challenge process is crucial for candidates seeking to improve their scores, as the final answer key will be prepared after reviewing all objections. Once the response sheet is released, candidates can use the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 score calculator to estimate their probable scores. Each candidate receives their exact score along with a subject-wise detailed performance report based on the marking scheme prescribed by the National Testing Agency.
