JMI Hosted Session on ‘Diversity and Inclusion in India’

New Delhi: The Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has organised an interactive session titled ‘Diversity and Inclusion in India’ on January 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The sessions as held as a part of the “ViksitBharat@2047: Voice of Youth” initiative by Prof. Arvinder A. Ansari.

As per Jamia Millia Islamia, the interactive session was attended by students of JMI as well as faculty members and research scholars of the Department of Sociology. Attendees participated enthusiastically in the discussion and shared their questions and comments on the topic.

Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Ansari shared his ideas and values of inclusivity enshrined in the Constitution of India. He further explained the need for civil society to honour the vision of the leaders of independent India. 

In other news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra would be extended till February because of huge public demand for the “Modi Guarantee Vehicles”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The Yatra has completed two months. It has turned into a ‘Vishwas (trust) Yatra’. People are also calling it the ‘Guarantee Yatra’. In the last 10 years, the way our government has created a transparent system, made genuine efforts and promoted public participation, has made even the impossible possible.
