As per the latest counselling update issued by KEA, “The second round revised provisional seat allotment list of serving candidates published on 21/12/2025 has been cancelled, and the OPTIONS have been allowed to be filed till 10.00 am on 22/12/2025."

Reason for Karnataka NEET PG 2025 Round 2 Cancellation
The Karnataka NEET PG 2025 Round 2 counselling result was cancelled due to a change in government policy announced on December 21, 2025. As per the latest instructions issued by the state government, serving candidates of the Health and Family Welfare (HFW) Department were newly allowed to opt for additional MD/MS courses that were not permitted earlier.
These additional courses include General Surgery, General Medicine, Radiology, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OBG). Since the Round 2 provisional allotment had already been prepared without including these expanded options, continuing with the same result would have been unfair to eligible serving candidates.
To ensure equal opportunity and transparency, the KEA cancelled the previously published second-round provisional allotment list dated December 21, 2025. Following this, the option-entry window was reopened, allowing candidates to resubmit or modify their choices based on the revised eligibility and course options.

KEA has clarified that the cancellation is procedural and corrective in nature, not due to any technical error or mistake by candidates. The revised provisional allotment will be released after considering the fresh options submitted within the stipulated timeline.
In short, the result was cancelled to accommodate newly eligible candidates and comply with updated government directions, ensuring that the Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling process remains fair and inclusive for all applicants.
